Notice of reliable sources noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Owler. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:44, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I want to back up what Cordless Larry said with more specifics: do not add owler as a source or link to any more pages until we reach a consensus. If you do, you will be blocked. Your input on the thread would be appreciated.
Secondly, be aware of Wikipedia's rules surrounding a conflict of interest. If you are associated with owler, even without financial involvement, you need to state this conflict. tedder (talk) 15:59, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion in WP:RSN is clear- Owler is not a reliable source. Do not add it. In fact, your help to remove it would be appreciated. tedder (talk) 16:04, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Arthrex moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Arthrex, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Forbes[edit]

Just to alert you to the fact that Forbes is not a reliable source. According to Forbes, Phoenix Group currently has 1,249 employees but, following significant growth over several years, the company has not actually had such a low number of employees since before 2016. (see Annual Report 2017 page 119). So their figures are around five years out of date. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 13:22, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Phibro Animal Health requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. January 2022[edit]

Hi--I need you to explain your relation to User:Zoole USA. I have deleted User:Steinythefirst/sandbox as a violation of WP:NOTWEBHOST (and it's a hoax, of course; in addition, content was copied from another article without proper attribution). Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry dictates one account per person (unless there are special circumstances), and these two accounts have overlapped on dozens of articles. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:00, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bettcher Industries, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Birmingham, Ohio. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bare urls[edit]

Hi - Please can you take a look at Wikipedia:Bare URLs. While a bare url is much more helpful than no reference, a bare URL reference is also much less helpful than a fully-formatted citation. Please help readers and editors by using full citations instead. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 22:16, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 17[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of companies based in London, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arup.

Hey[edit]

I noticed that you were editing the List of pharmaceutical companies earlier this month (thanks!), and I wanted to extend an invitation to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine. (That's the chat page on wiki where a group of editors hang out and talk about improving medicine-related articles.) It's a great place to ask about finding appropriate sources for biomedical information or how to write about medical content. There's also Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology if you're interested specifically in pharmaceutical subjects.

If you're interested, please put the page on your watchlist or just drop by to check it out whenever you feel like it. Thanks, WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:06, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
