Categories[edit]

Please read the article Wikipedia:Overcategorization before you attempt to add any more categories to a biography article. A person living in Soandso for a few months does not mean they are from Soandso. Stuffing an article with non-significant categories is just a sign of advertising/promotion and would likely be reviewed for possible deletion. In all honesty it makes the article appear to be purely promotional unless significant and relevant categories are placed.--☾Loriendrew☽ (talk) 02:38, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]


Your reasoning is sound. I agree that if a person lived in Soandso for a few months it would not mean they are from there. In this case, I listened to the podcast and the filmmaker mentioned he lived in Oregon for close to six years and he lived in California for close to 11 years. That is why I concluded he was from those two places. However, it is clear this is your area of expertise so please let me know if my conclusion is incorrect.Stefariconga (talk) 03:31, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
