Sega Mega Drive/Genesis[edit]

I've removed the template you added to the Sega Mega Drive page. If you're serious about suggesting the move to Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis then you need to put the template on the talk page instead. However I should point out that it was moved only recently to the title it is at now, the reasons and discussion for which can be found at Talk:Sega Mega Drive#Proposed move. It's Google Inc., not Incorporated!, and the same for Yahoo![edit]

PLEASE look up the SEC Form 10-Ks and 8-Ks for corporations before altering their articles. If you do not understand how to retrieve SEC forms from the EDGAR database (it's very easy) then PLEASE do not touch corporate names. Otherwise you create a lot of extra work for other editors to clean up the mess you are creating, and your edits look like vandalism.

There is Arbitration Committee precedent for banning editors whose good faith but incompetent actions tend to damage the encyclopedia more than they improve it. Thank you for your attention.--Coolcaesar 19:32, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your category rename proposals[edit]

I notice you have recently proposed several category renames:

Category:Sega Mega Drive → Category:Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis
Category:Sega Mega Drive games → Category:Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis games
Category:Cancelled Sega Mega Drive games → Category:Cancelled Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis games

However, you did not complete the procedure described at WP:CFD#Procedure. If you are serious about these renames, please complete Step III as listed on that page. If you do not do this, your proposals are likely to be reverted.

However, I suggest you withdraw your proposals and remove the rename tags from those categories. The names you have proposed are contrary to Wikipedia's naming conventions for categories as they do not match the name of the main article, and were rejected in two previous CFDs: [1] [2]. Thanks. I notice you have recently proposed a number of images for deletion: Image:Spindly Tam.jpg, Image:Purrsey.jpg, Image:Infantor.gif, Image:Iciclea.jpg, Image:Dr.Cerebral.gif, Image:Degill.jpg, Image:AtomicBetty.jpg, Image:ABX5.jpg, Image:ABPaloma.gif, Image:ABSparky.jpg, Image:ABPenelope.jpg, Image:ABDylan.gif, Image:ABMom.jpg, Image:ABNoah.jpg, Image:ABGranny.jpg, Image:ABDad.jpg, Image:MaximusIQ.jpg, Image:Minimus.jpg, Image:Nuclea.gif, Image:Penelobee.jpg, Image:PenelopeMeganandSarah.jpg, Image:Roger Dodger.gif, and Image:The Chameleon.jpg. However, when you added {{subst:ifd}} to the image pages you accidentally removed all other content; please go back and restore the former content, with your ifd tag added to the top instead of replacing any of the content. Also, you did not complete the procedure described at WP:IFD#Listing images and media for deletion; please complete Steps II and III as listed on that page. Thanks.
