Hello. Please consider reading WP:REFSPAM. What you have been doing (retrospectively adding books by the same author, across multiple articles and years, where there is no indication that the related content actually relies on that book) falls well within the related definition: "Citation spamming is a form of [..] promotion that typically involves the repeated insertion of a particular citation or reference in multiple articles by a single contributor".
