I just really wanted to say something[edit]

After taking a basic rundown of your account, I found myself really wanting to give some advice. Or start a conversation.

Both.

So your userpage... If you constantly edit all over the place here, it's ok to consider having a userpage that could tell someone what to do if they wanted to do something. Like... "If you gotta problem about me, take it to my talk page." and maybe you want something more interesting, like boxes. What kinda boxes? Userboxes! Them boxes can show your interests.

I have another thing to say.. If you're trying to get a grasp of all the policies, you have some 'electric avenues.' I, personally, read Wp:ANI but never post. Every one in a while you get an informative thread that links all kinds of relevant policies. Another avenue is just to read the policies.

Welp, i'm off to do some homework. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs) 20:50, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate that a lot, thank you. SleepForever (talk) 13:44, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Noting the only limit is how much the server can take before it takes longer to load your page, and strain browsers. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs) 18:12, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. Hopefully I'll never hit that point then, and once again thank you for this. SleepForever (talk) 18:14, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Me too, having just seen this edit on my out-of-control watchlist. Your description of your editing pattern looks a lot like how I would describe my own, though most of the articles in your edit history would never show up in mine. I just thought I would mention that I do most of my vandalism-watching from WP:Huggle; you might give that a test drive if you have not already done that. Cheers. Apologies for the late response, unfortunately I don't think I can use Huggle from where I normally edit, it does seem like a useful tool and if I start editing from home more often I'll definitely remember to look into using it. Appreciate you letting me know about it, thank you. SleepForever (talk) 19:51, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted[edit]

Hi SleepForever. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Anarchyte (talk) 07:57, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

recent change on article Geoffrey Kabat[edit]

Hello,

This is regarding an edit that I had made to the article Geoffrey Kabat, that was reverted by you. I removed that statement because he was promoting fringe theories, by alleging that "anti-smoking activist" had manipulated data, dismissing the fact that his own study was fatally flawed, manipulated and fraudulent, as himself failed to identify a comparison group of unexposed persons. This statement was so ironic I had to remove it, because it was promoting fringe idea by a person involved in a criminal racketeering and fraud with tobacco industry as stated in the passive smoking article.

I didn't revert your edit because I didn't want to engage in an edit war, hence I contacted you directly. Please consider restoring my version that you reverted.

Thank you and have a nice day! 2409:4042:2E96:8A14:C838:83AB:5B8A:D1A4 (talk) 05:02, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, having looked at it again I think you were in the right for removing that section so I've reverted my original edit. Thanks for leaving a message here! SleepForever (talk) 05:46, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for restoring my edit. I was actually surprised how something like that could be written on Wikipedia. The article made it seem like he was a genuine researcher, but in the article passive smoking it is correctly stated that he was involved in a criminal racketeering with the tobacco industry.
Also it seems he has his head upside-down. He thinks second hand smoke doesn't cause lung cancer, and other diseases(which they clear do, as both active and passive smoking contain the same tobacco smoke;which contains around 70 well-known carcinogens), and as stated in his article he thinks mobile phones cause cancer(which they don't as mobile phones emit radio-frequency,which is a non-ionising radiation, that unlike ionising radiation can't damage DNA)
To put it simply he is like Andrew Wakefield, as both were paid for publishing fraudulent papers and like Wakefield, he continues to play the victim.
Also Similar arguments are made by anti-vaxxers, as just like how this guy thinks "anti-smoking activists" are manipulating the data to justify smoking bans, dismissing the fact that his own study was fraudulent and manipulated, anti-vaxxers(like Robert f Kennedy Jr) think vaccines cause autism and governments are hiding it, despite the fact that the person who proposed the non-existent link was the one who manipulated the data. 2409:4042:2608:DAE1:5A1:472A:CD6D:F43B (talk) 09:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Post removal question[edit]

I just want to say thank you for removing my post on the Xgames wall It was a joke for my friend but I am sorry for wasting your time. But I didn’t know it posts your IP address if you are not signed in. I was wondering since you deleted it- is it gone now ? Thank you for your time ! Zflash5010 (talk) 20:10, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, thank you for being honest and not repeatedly vandalizing the page. My time isn't worth much and reverting edits usually takes less than 5 seconds so there's nothing to apologize for there. If you're asking whether your IP address is still visible, yes it is. The IPs of any users who don't edit using an account are visible when viewing the revision history of a page. If you'd like it to be removed, I believe you'd have to use this form.
