Speedy deletion nomination of Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. – hysteria18 (talk) 12:04, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Republic of Ireland Taekwon-Do Association.gif, which you've sourced to www.rita-itf.org. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:00, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
The article ''bankruptcy tourism'' has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not a dictionary of slang or neologisms.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Revolution1221 (talk) 03:00, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
IP Editing
[edit]It looks as if you may be editing the same articles both while logged in and not. If I am incorrect in this belief I do apologise. Editing like this creates the impression, at first glance, that the edits were made by different people. Even when done by mistake or for entirely innocent reasons this is likely to give rise to allegations of sock puppetry.
If you did accidently edit articles while logged out you might consider making a dummy edit to the articles that you edited and claiming the edits in the edit summary. See WP:LOGGEDOUT.
FrankFlanagan (talk) 23:03, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
Ah yes I think I did. My apologies for that, sometimes I presume I am auotmatically logged. I assumed my IP address would relate to the same account so it wouldn't be an issue. Sorry I will try and ensure it doesn't happen again.

[edit]Hello, Simonjohnpalmer. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Simon Palmer, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Murry1975 (talk) 12:13, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
Murry1975 thank you for your comments. I will reread the guidelines and ensure I adhere to them in future.
== deletion of Back2Basics Hi Murry1975,
Is see the page relating to my radio show was deleted before I had a chance to add insight which is relevant to my case for reinstatement. Mark erroneously called the show a regional one due to the fact that FM frequencies of stations it airs a regional. However, the majority of our listeners are international and through a very successful podcast of the show which is listened to through iTunes.
We've just hit 100,000 listeners per show on iTunes, which makes us one of the biggest dance music shows in the Ireland by listenership. These listeners are worldwide, therefore, we do not see us as a 'regional radio' as outlined in the deletion log. These numbers do not include our live listeners, which we have all over the country and the world via the webfeeds for both the radio stations we feature on. PodBean has this week notified us that is has now made us a featured PodCast and will promote the show in their music category. We've also had a number of national exclusives, such a Nile Rodgers from Chic and LA duo Classixx's first ever Irish interview. I am in the process of undertaking some media coverage in relation to out 100k figures and Podbean announcement, which I hope will help boost our adherence to notability guidelines and increase the references in the article. We are an international radio show that just happens to air on FM locally in Dublin, but most of our listeners are outside Ireland with the US and UK been the most common location. This is the way radio is moving and we are future proofing ourselves. Is it possible we can work on a restoration?
Regards,
Simon (a presenter on the show)

Conflict of interest
[edit]Just making it clear, editing any article about you, your radio show or the companies you work for, while either logged in or out is not allowed. So dont edit any of these. However you can edit the talkpages of these articles to highlight issues on these pages. I reported you to admins and the one dealing with it told me to try and get the point across without using templates. So ta'dah :) Murry1975 (talk) 20:14, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:20, 30 September 2016 (UTC)... and now, a more personal note. I have been on local radio several times, including a short stint of presenting my own show, released several albums as a musician and I'm now a company director. None of this is on Wikipedia because it doesn't actually help the business. There are a lot of existing articles that are in need of work - for example, Wicklow could do with some copyediting and fact checking. Why not concentrate on things that are unambiguously part of an encyclopedia, your work is more likely to be appreciated and it may keep the notices on your talk page down a bit.
