A tag has been placed on 2024 Suwon JS Cup requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2024 Suwon JS Cup. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Userpage elements[edit]

Please take down the to-do list and topicon template that you copied from my userpage. It's fine to use the elements if they are changed to reflect your own contributions or to-do lists, but to leave them unmodified is misleading to other editors. SounderBruce 19:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about 2025 Mitsubishi Electric Cup[edit]

Hello, Simonen1998, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Edward-Woodrow, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, 2025 Mitsubishi Electric Cup, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2025 Mitsubishi Electric Cup.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Edward-Woodrow}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Notice

The article 2023 Pan American Games opening ceremony has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough content, zero driving

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on File:CaseyPhair.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://playersbio.com/casey-phair-parents-ethnicity-nationality-age-revealed/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Upcoming Canada games[edit]

Why do you keep adding a friendly match with Russia for Canada men's national soccer team#2023? That's very obviously never going to happen. What source could have listed such an absurdity? Nfitz (talk) 20:36, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, the introduction of inappropriate pages, such as 2030 Quad Games, is considered vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Military World Games. Nfitz (talk) 05:47, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Much, perhaps most, of your editing consists of posting material without references to sources, and for which no confirmation can be found by searching. In some cases there are false references to sources which don't support the content to which they are attached. In at least some cases the information is certainly false. Please do not post any more content at all into any article without providing a citation to a reliable source which supports the content; if you do so you are likely to be blocked from editing. It's very simple: you must know where you got information from, so you must be able to say where you got it from. JBW (talk) 09:12, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
