Transcendence[edit]

Hello, regarding Transcendence (2014 film) and this edit, we should not be inserting so many genre mentions upfront. WP:FILMLEAD states, "At minimum, the opening sentence should identify the title of the film, the year of its public release, and the primary genre or sub-genre under which it is verifiably classified." It is simple enough to call Transcendence a science fiction film. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 02:46, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eidetic memory, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages ABC, Red Dragon and Dark Angel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Smart. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Be familiar with the guidelines and style
  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in an article, and include the "blue link" to that article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Batman194, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Widefox; talk 12:51, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you're talking about and I cannot help you with your investigation. I'm sorry. I'm retired and I'm going to be gone forever. I'm very serious. Please do give my sincere regards. Thanks. Sherlock502 (talk) 14:43, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to The Weeknd, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
