My point of view on the blocking of my account and my request for unblock[edit]

Request reason:

Hello there, I have just found out that my account/ip address has been blocked for “{{colocationwebhost}} ” by admin User:Elcokid. I would kindly like to ask for this block to be rectified as I, like most other users using Wikipedia in mainland China, can only access Wikipedia using VPN as the site is blocked by internet firewalls set up by the state.(‘‘For your information, see articles Censorship of Wikipedia & Internet censorship in China‘‘). I do understand the fact that accessing Wikipedia using a server located elsewhere may mislead admins into thinking that the user may be causing harm to the site, but please take into consideration that I have, during my time using this account, only edited and created articles that are China-related, basing my edits on sources, which is why I do believe that this ban is, unfortunately, a misunderstanding. Furthermore, there will be no users editing Wikipedia in China should everyone get banned for this reason. Whoever that comes across this, I would like to again ask for this ban to be rectified and thank you so much for your time. -Best wishes, Serratedtrout

Accept reason:

IP block exemption granted due to Chinese firewall. Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:06, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note: I forgot to mention that I did not directly use a server to access Wikipedia. I edited articles using a VPN that is connected to a foreign proxy server via either my phone or my computer. This is to clarify that I am not a colocation provider nor a web host provider. I am simply an user trying to let the world have a better understanding to my city, Chongqing. IP block exempt[edit]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:06, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sigongli station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Yudong Station (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
