Good Catch
[edit]Good catch on User:Tom O'Shea. He has now been blocked indefinately!! Abcdefghijklm 09:33, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I actually spotted him during Newpage Patrol duties from a nonsense article he created. Another one bites the dust! ~ Matticus78 09:43, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw the very disturbing article he created!! Isn't it a great sense of satisfaction when you beat a vandal? Abcdefghijklm 09:46, 17 July 2006 (UTC) (P.S. I see you are from Shropshire.. the best county in GB. I'm just across the border in Cheshire!)
- Indeed - very satisfying when the system just ticks over like clockwork. Cheshire's nice too - I used to go to college in Wrexham and made regular jaunts north to Chester and its wonderful city centre. ~ Matticus78 09:51, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

- No, NEWI, just next door to Yale. It was one of the few places that was doing degrees in Multimedia Computing at the time (of course, everywhere does it now). ~ Matticus78 10:01, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Wiarthurhu RfC
[edit]Hello. I read your statement and have commented at the page. Basically, I closed the MedCab case because Wiarthurhu was no longer participating in the process, nor did I feel that he was going to participate in a manner conducive to bringing about change in the article. He's engaged in three different personal attacks in the last week, one of which was on Mmx, which he's been warned for before. Rather than clog the RfA process, Mmx decided to file an RfC instead. I'd be happy to clarify anything for you from my point of view if you'd like. CQJ 16:39, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
[edit]Thank you so much for voting in my recent RFA. It passed on the relatively narrow vote of 38/8/8. It was also one of the least-participated-in RFA nominations in several months, so pat yourself on the back, and join the party on your left, but first, take your cookie!

My RfA and your vote
[edit]Hello again Seivad, Thanks for participating in my RFA! Ultimately, no consensus was reached, but I still appreciate the fact that you showed up to add in your two cents. Your questions helped move some votes away from opposition (take a look at the neutral votes)—for that, I thank you. You can feel free to talk to me about it or add some advice on my improvement page.

Your Vandal Fighting Group
[edit]Have you given up hope on your group? If you think noone would support you, I'll co-found it with you. I'll do half the work if you will. I asked this question so I would know If I could start on the userboxes. Get me an answer back some time and I'll try my best. Daniel_123 ► ► 01:48, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
I think I could make you a few nice userboxes, but first we may need a name for that to work. For now I'll just not fill in any name on the userboxes. Get back to me with a few ideas for a name. p.S., Daniel_123 ► ► 11:36, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Too cartoony to be the symbol for watchmen? I thought maybe the Wikipedia symbol would do as well, but maybe we could use these little chrystal graphic? I'll keep on searching. Daniel_123 ► ► 11:51, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
I found a nice symbol to make the userboxes with, and I created the watchmen and patrol ones (see your project's Userbox page). Now I have to go to school. C ya, Daniel_123 ► ► 12:43, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
[edit]This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 23:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
WikiProject query
[edit]Hi there, I am doing some clean up on the list of proposed WikiProjects. I noticed that WikiProject Current UK MPs has been listed for more than 60 days. Yeah, I can totally understand when other things take priority. Do what you can, don't let things get too stressful and it all goes smoothly. :) Anywho, good to have another contributor back. --Brad Beattie (talk) 15:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Article about Wikipedia Users
[edit]Hello,
I am a freelance writer working on an article about Wikipedia users and all the "behind the scenes" goings on at Wikipedia that the average reader of the site never knows about. I intend on focusing a little on several of the unofficial Wikipedia organizations that members are a part of such as Esperenza et al. As such, I would like to speak to you about your experience with Esperanza, Counter Vandalism Unit and Concordia. I would also like to talk with you about your thoughts on admin nominations. If you are interested in participating, please email me at [email protected].
Thanks FFFearlesss 20:05, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.
Help out now!
[edit]- Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
- Give people the Civility Barnstar.
- Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
- Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
- Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.
We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.
Decision Making
[edit]The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.
If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Conservative Tree.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Conservative Tree.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Romano Prodi
[edit]Mr Prodi is still the leader of the centre-left coalition, as well as the Olive Tree, he only resigned from his post as Prime Minister (and is likely to be reappointed in a few days, in my opinion). I reverted all your edits claiming that Prodi was no longer leader of the centre-left. --Angelo 19:54, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Chester City vs City of Chester
[edit]I'm sorry to have reverted some of the edits. I was using a version of the website that definitely had "City of Chester Council" as the heading before, but I see now that, along with a change to the website's design, the name has been changed. Using the site-search engine on it, and including both pages just on the City council website as well as widening it to include other cheshire-related sites show that there are quite a few places that talk about "City of Chester" council. That must explain why the person who originallyu started the article about the council called it City of Chester. All these sites and the original website explains my error, and thank you for drawing my attention to it. I will now gradually work through all wikipedia articles that appear to have "City of Chester" as the name given to the council and alter them as appropriate, though this will affect some template names which may take more time to arrange. Onec again, my thanks and apologies. DDStretch (talk) 00:48, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello again
[edit]Hi Seivad, it's Ikiroid again. Back in July at the close of my unsuccessful RFA, you expressed interest in nominating me when a second RFA rolled around. Well, I'm planning on running again at the end of this month—do you want to nominate me when the time comes? User:Misza13 will be doing a conom, or the full nom if you don't want to. Drop by and leave me a message in the next few days regarding what you want to do. Cheers, The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 22:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, cool. Plan on it happening in about ten days. Thank you again! The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 18:13, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Change of plans
[edit]Hello again Seivad! There's been a change of plans and I'm going to wait awhile longer before taking a shot at adminship. My coach reccomends that I take my time and wait until I'm more prepared. Can you wait a few weeks? The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 18:46, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for understanding. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 18:51, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
OK Go
[edit]You have the go-ahead, I'm ready when you're ready. Do you need any diffs or information before starting? The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 22:36, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- You there? The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 01:37, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- It hasn't been started yet—just follow the directions here and write "Ikiroid 2" for the username, since this is my second RFA. Don't transclude it onto the main RFA page, I will do that after I accept. Don't worry about being perfect—just list some qualities and your impression of me. When you are done, tell Misza13 and Shyam, they are making noms too. Don't wait though, Shyam goes on break on wednesday so we need to get it started. Thank you so much for doing this! The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 21:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Awesome job! Thanks for going ahead and notifying the others. We may have trouble with Shyam's nom: he has gone on break. I'll accept and add it to WP:RFA after all of that is taken care of. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 17:10, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
The name for the local government district in which Chester is located
[edit]Hello, some time ago we had a discussion about what the name should be on wikipedia for the local government district in which Chester is located. At that time it was City of Chester. I read around the topic, and noted that the official website uses the name "Chester City", which is why I moved the article to [[Chester City (district)]] (the district being there to disambiguate it from the football team. Someone has suggested that this may not be a good choice of name, and so I'd welcome whatever input you could give to a discussion about this so that we can know the best way forward. (I note that the proposed changes may make this only a short-tern problem). The point is being discussed on [[Talk:Chester City (district)]]. Best wishes. DDStretch (talk) 22:27, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
