National Lampoon[edit]

I've just reverted your claim in Hippo eats dwarf on the grounds that there is a reliable source stating that this is not in National Lampoon. But just to make sure, do you actually have this magazine? If you do, please provide a page number. Better still, email me a copy of the page or put it up on a dropbox. I downloaded a PDF collection of a whole bunch of national lampoon magazines. It's definitely in there, because that's how I knew to do a Google search for that hippo story, and came across the Wikipedia article on the matter. I'll have to see if I still have that PDF because I usually delete them after skimming through it. SeaLion572 (talk) 02:13, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

August 1988 edition. Page 35-36, depending on how the viewer labels the page number, in the lower left corner labeled "From the Las Vegas Sun:" I can send you a copy of the PDF but not sure where the drop box is,of your email. I'll try again later... SeaLion572 (talk) 08:25, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I found a download myself on Internet Archive. Sorry for doubting you. I've restored your contribution, it needs editing to remove the argumentative tone, but I'll do that later.
To email someone on Wikipedia, you go to their user page and click on "email this user" in the sidebox. You won't be able to add any attachments unless/until they reply to you which will give you their direct email address. I would have emailed you straight away, but you don't seem to have registered an email address on Wikipedia. Dropbox is a way of passing information used by people who don't want to use email for privacy or security reasons. SpinningSpark 09:19, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info. Yes please edit the information as you see fit. I like knowledge to be shared and accurate, so I'm happy to see it updated. SeaLion572 (talk) 18:20, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, thank you for finding this out. It is information that makes Wikipedia what it is, not getting the right kind of dashes everywhere. SpinningSpark 18:24, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
