Hey Sammi, we have to stop pinging me, we have to help with Repercussions of the 1994–1996 United States broadcast TV realignment. The reason why NBC renewed two Scripps affiliates back in 1994 so that they will pick up a former Fox affiliate in Kansas City, so they would affiliate with NBC, so a second group deal is possible. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:751A:3332:FCF7:58E7 (talk) 19:13, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

WikiCup 2021 May newsletter
The second round of the 2021 WikiCup has now finished; it was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 61 points to advance to Round 3. There were some impressive efforts in the round, with the top eight contestants all scoring more than 400 points. A large number of the points came from the 12 featured articles and the 110 good articles achieved in total by contestants, as well as the 216 good article reviews they performed; the GAN backlog drive and the stay-at-home imperative during the COVID-19 pandemic may have been partially responsible for these impressive figures.
Our top scorers in Round 2 were:
- The Rambling Man, with 2963 points from three featured articles, 20 featured article reviews, 37 good articles, 73 good article reviews, as well as 22 DYKs.
- Epicgenius, with 1718 points from one featured article, 29 good articles, 16 DYKs and plenty of bonus points.
- Bloom6132, with 990 points from 13 DYKs and 64 "In the news" items, mostly recent deaths.
- Hog Farm, with 834 points from two featured articles, five good articles, 14 featured article reviews and 15 good article reviews.
- Gog the Mild, with 524 points from two featured articles and four featured article reviews.
- Lee Vilenski, with 501 points from one featured article, three good articles, six featured article reviews and 25 good article reviews.
- Sammi Brie, with 485 points from four good articles, eight good article reviews and 27 DYKs, on US radio and television stations.
- Ktin, with 436 points from four good articles, seven DYKs and 11 "In the news" items.
Please remember that DYKs cannot be claimed until they have appeared on the main page. As we enter the third round, any content promoted after the end of Round 2 but before the start of Round 3 can be claimed now, and anything you forgot to claim in Round 2 cannot! Remember too, that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them (except for at the end of each round, when you must claim them before the cut-off date/time). When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Wow!
I don't even look anymore to see "who's nominating all these articles for DYK and GA?" cause I know it's you. Well done, Sammi! :) This is some insane work and I'm here for it! If only I could work at that rate! :D Just amazing! - Neutralhomer • Talk • 21:18 on May 13, 2021 (UTC)
- This has been a wild run in the last week. WUCI-FM I learned about while doing the other Binghamton station; it's a lot like my GA KUCB-FM (Iowa) in miniature. Had to really search for DYKable stations in VT and CT... New England is a tough cookie because the articles are generally in better shape and I lack long-run paper records (especially NH and RI). WKVB is a longtime GA candidate, having been whipped into shape last year when the K-Love sale was announced. And once I'm done with the states there's a good chance I tackle all sorts of odds and ends—there are some markets that need help and have the right ingredients, like Austin TX (where the KVET typo last week led to three article improvements!). Notice
We have a note for you regarding how KPLR-TV turned down the Fox Kids block as KTVI declined carriage of the block. It was on a newspaper issue of St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Fox Kids staff have to pipe in nearby Kansas City's KSMO-TV (which carried Fox Kids that WDAF declined) for cable subscribers when it found a new affiliate in the St. Louis market, which was said on a Post-Dispatch newspaper that “was finally picked up by an independent station”. KNLC picked up the block, but the relationship didn’t last long. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:5C9F:7250:A396:FEF5 (talk) 03:46, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

We will make it
Hello Sammi, Thank you for addressing issues with NMEDIA. I just want to encourage you. We are going to get there. The suggestions you have presented have been spot on. I always ask my fellow editors to help me keep their work by giving me solutions that make sense. I do not know radio stations like you do. I have not created articles on them like you have but I do know and appreciate the hard work others put into what they do here. I am amazed by the articles some here produce and wish I had their sense of artistic value in article creation. Mine are found in other things but I do what I can. Something we all can do is spread the kindness and love around. I am genuinely grateful for you and wish, with all my heart, for you to have beautiful days ahead. --ARoseWolf 17:09, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the encouragement. Right now we're in the process of untangling fixing the historical accident of this "explanatory supplement" that has looked like an SNG without being one with the fact that its provisions aren't necessarily where consensus lies now. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 17:14, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- The group of editors we have in the discussion are some of the brightest I have seen. A solution will come forward in which a consensus can be made. It may take time but it will happen. --ARoseWolf 18:11, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
I have unwatchlisted the RfC. I made a comment which I said was not an accusation which was taken as an accusation and which promptly f*cked things up. I struck it, but I did enough damage. Let me know how it goes. I'll go back to GNOME-ish edits. Apologizes. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 17:59, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- Neutralhomer, mistakes are made, its part of life. I didn't respond to your comment because I understand where you are on this subject. I actually sympathize a lot with you. I also believe in love first. Responding with accusations isn't the way I want to go. You corrected yourself and I don't think you caused any damage to the discussion. Your voice is important. Be an advocate for your position. --ARoseWolf 18:08, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- @ARoseWolf: I'm also in a tough spot. I've been here 16 years, my focus has been on radio stations. I'm trying to uphold Dravecky's legacy. He started WP:WPRS, he was it's heart and soul. Something kinda broke when he passed away. He was the calming voice that held it together. So, I'm torn. Keep his legacy going, keep all that work I have put into 16 years, fight for it all....and with the potential for losing it all. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 18:13, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- Neutralhomer, I am facing a long hard road ahead of me too and my fears may be different than yours but all of them are relevant. So, trust me, I understand. It's hard when you believe you are carrying a legacy alone. The weight of that can feel enormous. At any moment any of our lives can come crashing down around us. We are fragile but our potential impact is far beyond us. If you wear his legacy like a chain it could choke you out. Turn it into a balloon to lift you higher. Make it the wind in your sails. It will be a light or as heavy as you make it. I have come to love one of the quotes I have on my user page by Maya Angelou, “We May Encounter Many Defeats But We Must Not Be Defeated.” Don't defeat yourself. I know the urge is to carry on a legacy but something tells me Dravecky would want you to make your own legacy, even if it is under the same subject. --ARoseWolf 18:27, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- I try to carry my own torch here, but we had similar interests...to an extent. He liked sci-fi shows, I'm a crime drama fan. :) He was a die-hard Crimson Tide fan, not big on the NFL. I couldn't care less on college football, but LOVE my Steelers. :) I secretly root for the Tide now. :)

My daughters father is from the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. They escaped to Alaska to get away from everything around his previous wife's death and to give them a fresh start. I actually met my daughter the first week they moved to Juneau. That's a story in and of itself. Thankyou for the invite to chat through email sometime. - Would you please fix the broken sentence
- In 1958, Bliss Knapp died and left a bequest to the church on one condition: that it publish The Destiny of The Mother Church, a book written by Knapp that had been repeatedly rejected by Christian Science leaders as blasphemous for depicting Christian Science founder Mary Baker Eddy, by the year 1993.
- As the linked article points out, it was not that MBE was depicted that was considered blasphemous, but rather the manner in which she was depicted, that she was depicted as a particular role. This is quite unlike the Depictions of Muhammad problem, right? Shenme (talk) 01:46, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Template:Infobox radio station problem
As shown in WZFC (AM), in the "Public license information" field, the "LMS" line is not linking properly. It won't link via the box itself properly and if one actually adds it to the box manually, it looks like it does currently. I'm at a loss on how to fix it. - No worries. I tend to over-source things anyway....as evidenced by that page. :) Granted it is an FA, but just the infobox is super oversourced. :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 02:14, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

DYK for KBIF
On 19 July 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article KBIF, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after losing his job at KBIF when his father was convicted on tax-withholding crimes, future California politician Jim Patterson bought Fresno's KIRV and turned it into a Christian radio station? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/KBIF. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, KBIF), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
