Whitespace edits[edit]

Hi. You seem to be making a lot (as in hundreds) of pointless whitespace edits, some of which are not only pointless but go against the Wikipedia manual of style (such as [1]), mess up the formatting (such as [2]) or are a misuse of templates (such as [3]). Please note that such edits can be considered disruptive as they flood other editors' watchlists unnecessarily. Please note that making such edits so as to reach WP:AUTOCONFIRM and/or WP:EXTENDEDCONFIRMED status as soon as possible, can be considered to be gaming the system. Your edits[edit]

Hi Saftzie! Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to message you regarding the large number of edits that you've made in such a short time and just go over some concerns with you. You're not in any kind of trouble, by the way... We were all new here at one point in time, and there's a lot that you'll need to learn and understand before you become familiar and proficient with all of the important policies and guidelines around here. Mistakes and errors made in good faith are completely expected, and we won't go after you for making mistakes that you didn't understand or know about. So long as you don't repeat the mistakes numerous times, and as long as you follow the input, advice, and feedback left here by other users regarding your edits - you'll be absolutely fine and you won't have anything to worry about. :-)

Your edits seem to make very minute and small changes to articles, and appear to be made with the mindset of sacrificing quality in exchange for quantity. This mindset is a trap that will result in mistakes being made and other editors viewing you as someone who goes too fast and can't be trusted with any user rights or as someone that can be without constant supervision - not a good thing. ;-) You even mention on your user page that you've "amassed over 200 edits on Wikipedia" as if this count is your priority and what's important. Editing like this can (and usually will) result in unwanted attention being drawn toward your edits, so we need to avoid this mindset and for many reasons. :-)

You need to edit with the mindset where quality is much more important than quantity, and making changes that will improve the article and the encyclopedia are your top priority, not that you're making a high number of your edits in a very short time. In fact, large numbers of edits in a very short time will be usually seen as a bad thing, not a good thing. In fact, I was drawn to your user page and looked into your edits further after I became deeply concerned when I saw that you've made 210 edits to Wikipedia in just 20 hours (your account's age). Just taking a very quick glance at your contributions made me even more concerned...

Please know that your edit count isn't something that experienced editors and contributors use as a way of determining one's experience, trustworthiness, level of care and attention, knowledge of policy, or one's ability or eligibility to gain user rights or privileges and be trusted to use them properly (though your edit count is one of the many factors that are looked at). It's much better to have 500 high quality edits than to have 3000, 5000, or 10000+ edits that are small, have issues, and are made without care to the published result.

Keep this in mind with your edits moving forward, and please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, need any help, or if I can provide you with any input or advice.
