Just to let you know this and Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation are not "fixes". Episode lists are almost always separated from the main articles to begin. You've now made a much bigger mess that may have already existed as the episode list must be split again and we will lose attribution history (presuming spiting the rest of the anime information is justifiable in the first place). If you don't know how anime/manga content is organized, I advice that you leave it well enough alone. —Farix (t | c) 19:33, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Episode lists are almost always separated from the main articles to begin." - except it wasn't a list of episodes, it was [a duplicate of the anime content spamming the VIDEO GAME article minus infobox and categories, an anime article in all but name and here too. Jennifer Hale Soulcalibur emails

[edit]

Hi, I recall that you apparently emailed Jennifer Hale, and in her response she discussed voicing Tira from the Soulcalibur series. Is it possible for you to perhaps upload screenshots of these emails to WP commons or some such? This would, a) make the information published and therefore reliable and usable , and b) confirm that the exchange did in fact occur. Thank you. --Shadoman (talk) 21:19, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My god, e-mail her, it's not hard. --SNAAAAKE!! (talk) 21:45, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hale is a busy woman, so I'd rather save the time if someone else has already got the same answer. Out of curiosity, why are you unwilling to upload the images yourself? --Shadoman (talk) 21:48, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I already did show them when asked once, I don't care about anyone's paranoia. Btw pics can be faked so in case of SUCH A CRISIS BECAUSE I OBVIOUSLY LIE SHE TOLD ME RIGHT e-mail her, it's not hard. Or tweet her https://twitter.com/jhaletweets jesus christ. --SNAAAAKE!! (talk) 08:46, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you did show them already, would you care to provide a link to when this occurred? I suppose I could email her myself, but if it is not possible for you to upload the images, then the emails would constitute an unpublished source and thus be unusable for site purposes as per WP:SOURCES.
I have to question if this exchange truly occurred. Considering how you seem oddly unwilling to prove that it actually happened, I find it difficult to take your word for it, and your upfront statement that images can be faked seems to indicate a lack of confidence--and even then, there are methods to prove that an image has not been doctored. At any rate, looking through the Tira page's edit history, the original source for the credit is the user-generated IMDB, which has then been picked up by this site, with others picking it up from there. As this constitutes circular reporting, I will remove the credit until I can confirm its veracity. --Shadoman (talk) 19:58, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Take your stupid problems to https://twitter.com/jhaletweets --SNAAAAKE!! (talk) 20:04, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps I will, although I don't see the need to act rudely. Whether or not I actually get a response is another story, so it displeases me that you failed to provide evidence to successfully back up your side of the story for such arbitrary reasons. In that event, the reasonable thing to do is assume that this exchange did not actually take place. Thank you for your cooperation. --Shadoman (talk) 20:23, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Antifeminism shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Please take it to the talk and get a consensus! Eeekster (talk) 19:52, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Only a week and a half after returning from your last block, and you're already breaking the rules again. I ignored the rudeness/generally being a jerk in "Jennifer Hale Soulcalibur emails" above, and the dustup at WT:ANIME et al, but here you are violating 3RR for no better reason than that you demand that your opinion on the notability of a source is the only right one, and proving once again that you don't care about anything other than getting your way. You've already spent 10 weeks so far in 2014 blocked, and now you can add another 4 to that. --PresN 22:08, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@PresN:, what was the reasoning for the 'cannot edit own talk page' bit? That is the main avenue for letting people appeal their blocks and to communicate with others their block conditions. Why would you take that away since when you blocked them, there was no abuse of their talk page. That 'hardblock' is supposed to be reserved for people abusing their talk page during that time, not preventative, per WP:HARDBLOCK. That seems punitive, rather than preventative. Additionally, why are you the blocking administrator in this case? I ask this because it seems like it would be discouraged for the same admin who blocked them for their previous block to block them for the next block as well. To add, where is the 4th revert? [1], [2], and [3], but there is no 4th. Removing material from an article is not a revert. You deliberately said that he broke 3RR, but there is no 4th revert. but here you are violating 3RR... Tutelary (talk) 17:45, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Niemti/Snake has been blocked 8 times in the last 2 years, 4 of them since March alone. Prior to that, he edited as HanzoHattori, who was blocked 10 times over a 1-year period, before being banned for sock-puppetting. He is topic banned from the GA process, as well as from anything related to Anita Sarkesian, and the video games wikiproject has informally banned any mention of his antics on their talk page after the fifth long complaining thread. Niemti is on probation, tacitly agreed to by several admins, whereby he gets blocked any time he crosses the line, broadly-defined: Niemti has made a career of skating along the line, always being rude and disruptive but generally making sure that any specific incident can be rules-lawyered away out of context. I'm not interested in playing that game for the several-dozenth time. I hardblocked him because I'm not interested in interpreting the rules in his favor. And no, there's no rule that a blocking admin should recuse themselves from all further blocks- that just encourages forum-shopping and lack of institutional memory. --PresN 21:39, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, but Niemti has made a career of skating along the line, always being rude and disruptive but generally making sure that any specific incident can be rules-lawyered away out of context. I'm not interested in playing that game for the several-dozenth time. I hardblocked him because I'm not interested in interpreting the rules in his favor. sounds like that's punitive, rather than preventive. What -exactly- is the hard block preventing, his unblock request? That's not reasonable. his option is not checked by default, and typically should not be checked; editing of the user's talk page should be disabled only in the case of continued abuse of the talk page. The protection policy has further details. from WP:HARDBLOCK. While there -may- have been disruption on that specific article, there was not any disruption on their user talk page, and you should not have checked that box. Additionally, the protection policy specifically outlines that you should not protect their talk page. Blocked users' user talk pages should not ordinarily be protected, as this interferes with the user's ability to contest their block through the normal process. It also prevents others from being able to use the talk page to communicate with the blocked editor. What I would like to ask is a clear instance of this user abusing his talk page access to the point where you hard blocked. I am not seeing that instance here. It seems you've made a mistake in regard to this block, and I'd like you to rectify it. Tutelary (talk) 21:50, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

21:50, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

  • I agree that in theory Niemti didn't violate the letter of 3RR but there was an evident edit war and a long history of such behaviour; the block is justified. I strongly disagree with the removal of the talk page access in he absence of actual abuse. I would rather avoid wheelwarring and respectfully ask PresN that he carefully considers this request to reinstate talk page access. ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  22:01, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I actually concede that Niemti's conduct is what got him blocked from editing, but mainly for reasons I stated above, the only thing that I am a bit irked about is the removal of talk page access. Tutelary (talk) 22:04, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Re-enabled talk page access. --PresN 22:29, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I'll stop pestering you about it now. Tutelary (talk) 22:36, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • @PresN. Perhaps I am missing something here. You tell: "Niemti is on probation, tacitly agreed to by several admins". Could you please provide a link to discussion about this "probation", and what exactly "several admins" are you talking about? If there are several admins around, why it is you who blocks this user for the 4th time? This looks like a questionable one month block to me because there was no even a technical violation on the part of this user. My very best wishes (talk) 02:55, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Niemti does bring the worst of people. I do not question the block itself and would be unwilling to unblock; at this point in time, I reasonably believe the community, if asked, would support a reinstatement of the ban initially imposed on HanzoHattori (and never formally repealed). I am not, however, ready to be the one prompting that dicsussion. ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  03:02, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am not asking for community input, and I am not disputing this block at this point. I only asked PresN what "probation, tacitly agreed to by several admins" he is talking about? Perhaps there was one, but I missed it. My very best wishes (talk) 03:07, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
"Probation" is the wrong term, really- what it amounts to is that, beginning in March 2013, I warned Niemti that the patience of other editors was running thin after 5 straight months of repeated complaints about his behavior, and that he was going to be blocked whenever he crossed the line from then on out, with blocks of increasing duration. Other admins Masem and Sergecross73 participated in the discussion. There were several warnings, arguments, discussions, and a block over the next year, but I guess I first called it "probation" when I blocked him for 2 weeks a month ago, and none of his many talk page stalkers corrected me.
I'm the one who blocked him four times because I was asked to take a look at his behavior in March 2013 by another admin who felt he was too close to the subject, after a group of editors pushed for any admin to take a look at it. I'm usually the one who blocks him since then because I feel like it's my responsibility to warn him/block him, since I told him that his actions would have consequences, and they don't unless someone pays attention. I've had several editors since then ask me specifically both on-wiki and via email to look into Niemti-related things, which has lead to most of the warnings/blocks. I'm not really interested in playing some sort of rules-lawyer game about how many times an admin can block someone before they're not allowed to any more, and I'm also not interested in playing the game of "how much can you act like an aggressive jerk before it's a blockable offense" game; the answer for Niemti now is "any amount at all", and I guess I call that probation. --PresN 04:33, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Concerning the probation part, perhaps when he was wrongly unbanned without consensus here, or one of the dozen or so times he was blocked under the HanzoHattori username. or blocked for avoiding that ban, or the fact he renamed his account against his topic ban here, or the numerous times he's been blocked since he was unblocked after avoiding his community ban? Maybe in one, or several, of those instances was it decided he was on probation. I don't know how many times this editor is going to get blocked and still not have their ban reinstated, but how is Niemti editing Feminist articles without violating their topic ban? You can't even tell what he's editing most of the time because he never uses an edit summary. Dave Dial (talk) 05:21, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Good block. PresN has warned him many times on this, there's no reason Niemti would not understand by now when/where he's crossing the line. Sergecross73 msg me 12:46, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for responses. I too do not understand where Niemti crossed the line. Editing antifeminism does not mean violation of his topic ban, which was about Anita S. Neither he seems to be in violation of 3RR. That was my concern... But whatever. My very best wishes (talk) 13:03, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sleeping Dogs

[edit]

Hey, SNAAAAKE, how's it going! I was wondering if you could help me with Sleeping Dogs (video game) since I really need help with it. Ever since I joined Wiki I have been trying to tackle the article alone but I can't seem to do it by myself wit the amount of experience I have. Is there any way you could help me take it to GA? I know you usually only edit Military related articles, but this one is rated B class so it should be an easy thing for both of us. What do you think? Thanks for everything in advance, URDNEXT (talk) 12:57, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SNAAAAKE was blocked for a month, and I would not recommend him to return back to editing because he is watched too closely by admins. My very best wishes (talk) 13:11, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, shit. Sorry from my part, I didn't realize it. Thanks for warning me! My very best wishes URDNEXT (talk) 13:13, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Uncanny Psylocke.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nomination of Ninja the Mission Force for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ninja the Mission Force is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ninja the Mission Force until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 04:07, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Viktor Pimenov

[edit]

The article Viktor Pimenov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There's no indication that this cameraman is notable. I can't find out anything else about him. A google search turns up mostly Wikipedia mirrors, or short blurbs clearly derived from Wikipedia. One book seemed to refer to him several times, but on closer inspection, it turns out to be a novel, and a character coincidentally carries the same name.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kat Steel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
