Hey[edit]

An admin from the wiki edited the members section like this. Actually this is the form how it needs to look like I just edited it back because some users changed his editing. The admin also changed it by some other Kpop groups but the people always change it back. I want to accept the admins choices or maybe the will block the site or something like that....if you want to know more wbout it ask Drmies. He was the one who changed it. --77.184.226.178 (talk) 01:27, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:15& at Dankook University.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tasty (South Korean Band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JetBlast (talk) 22:16, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • See WP:BAND for what a band need to have achieved before having a Wikipedia article. JohnCD (talk) 22:34, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear John,

Thank you for bring this to my attention. I was wondering if you can restore it onto a sandbox page so that I may work on it and fix the problem please. S2nancy (talk) 04:15, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done to User:S2nancy/Tasty (South Korean band); but if the problem is that this band are too new to have yet achieved the notability standard of WP:BAND, working on their article will not fix it; you may have to wait until their career advances. Read Wikipedia:No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 13:49, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. Well then I will wait. Does that mean when the time comes I'll have to get you to reopen it? Thanks again! S2nancy (talk) 18:45, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!! I just noticed that you save the article under User:S2nancy/Tasty (South Korean band). I really appreciate you helping me and working with me :) S2nancy (talk) 23:44, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ailee, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Patti Kim (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please refrain from turning Wikipedia articles into fan sites. Thank you!!! Drmies (talk) 20:26, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize. My intentions were not to turned Wikipedia articles into fan site. I was only simply entering the members infomation directly from their official website profile section. I did not know it was a problem, because I properly cited the information from their official website to clearly insecure that the information was not false. Thank you. S2nancy (talk) 23:34, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem; thanks. There is, of course, a real problem: K-pop articles have too much information pulled from company websites (they're all companies and products, you know that) that gets dropped into Wikipedia articles as if that information is encyclopedically relevant. It is not. Birthdays, blood types, astrological signs, three different spellings of someone's name, none of that matters in a list of members--which should be a list of members, not a list of information relevant to fans only. The same goes for content, as a colleague of mine put it in WP:FART: not every announcement, not every TV performance, not every signing event for fans, not every made-for-TV 'competition' is of encyclopedic relevance. Information should be sourced to reliable sources, not to company or artist sites or to portals and chatty gossipy zines like allkpop.com or whatever they're called. K-pop articles have entirely too much of such non-notable information, and one often can't see the forest for the trees. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 15:56, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
