Noticed your New England work over the last few days; not bad.

I noticed that the {{infobox road}} in Maine road articles isn't done correctly - I don't know who did it initially, but you're supposed to use state=ME and route=(whatever number) instead of manually specifying the shield. --Rschen7754 (T C) 05:39, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I must agree with Rschen7754, you've some some excellent work recently... but a minor comment, it would be nice if you could give some kind of reference, even just a link at the bottom of the page to FloodGap (or wherever you're getting yer info from), on your new articles... I've reverted those changes. Over time, we've been moving away from the monolithic large list articles that try to deal with all of the highways in a single state. In fact, if those lists are to pass WP:FLC someday, they'd need to be broken up to accommodate the necessary prose sections. Take a look at List of Interstate Highways in Michigan. It operates as a subarticle to Michigan State Trunkline Highway System, and it both summarizes and expands on the content of its parent article to cover the information related to just the Interstates in that state. The list passed FLC last year, and it reflects the modern expectations of such an article, based on its predecessor, the List of Interstate Highways in Texas, which passed in 2008. Going forward, this model using a single parent article on a state's highway system, with separate list subarticles for the various highway designation types, is going to be spread to all but the smallest states.
