Because it was written in an advertising style inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you look at the article for Magic: the Gathering it does not advertise the product at all, it describes it in a neutral, encyclopedic way. All your article did was to publicise a new product. Cool Hand Nuke

Good Afternoon,

This response given respectfully. I saw your note on Cool Hand Nuke and to address your point of googling to see our returns and noting 8 links I will reference the actual entry created where it was stated that the site is in alpha development moving to beta on January 19th, 2009. Rarely will a new entity in alpha development have any kind of link return on any of the engines. The exceptions being those who are extremely well funded by VC or have a major name/benefactor involved in some way. I am afraid you're not helping your cause by telling me that the website in question hasn't even gone live yet. Wikipedia is not a place that lists every single website that has ever been created. Neither is it a business directory, nor is it a web directory. It is an encyclopedia, and as such it only lists items of proven notability, that can be verified using reliable sources. The subject matter you are writing about can do none of those things, and as such, I'm afraid it does not have a place on Wikipedia.

When you are able to demonstrate that the subject has notability, using reliable third party sources that can verify that claim, then by all means come back and post again. -- role^player 22:55, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Respectfully, an encyclopedia is a compendium of knowledge and I agree with you - People go there to learn about something. We are opening up the site for beta on Monday the 19th. As far as notability goes, I can expound upon this if need be but the shortest most relevant piece of information would be the facebook fanpage[1] which has the logo, the site description, mission and vision. It was launched a couple of weeks ago and has ~27 fans already, this for a site that has not yet allowed access to anyone. There is also a [facebook group]http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41880864491&ref=ts dedicated to the site which has ~15 fans. And if you explore them memberships of both you will see that there is limited cross-over between them i.e. the total is north of 30 people. I have statistics showing north of .5M impressions for the fan page & with 50% of the nuclear workforce retirement eligible in the next 10 years, I can assure you that we are relevant if for no other reason that a grand entrance or grand failure is in progress. I understand that we may not agree on this and if that is the case then I respectfully request that this be escalated to the next level for consideration & that a real world phone conversation take place. I am afraid relevance is not the issue here, notability is, and facebook is not evidence of notability. I can understand you are not accepting what I am saying, and have asked for someone else to come in and help out here, I don't really know what else I can tell you. The site just isn't notable. I am indexing as many relevant pages of my site into the Google Search engine as I can, please be patient (in the Search Wiki). I am using a sitemap modification for FluxBB (the forum program) which generates a sitemap based upon forum content. It has over 70 pages submitted, yet only 6 have been indexed. Also, you did not check this google search tool to see all indexed pages. Adding metadata takes time you know...I would not be surprised if it were a few weeks before we could remake this page, should it be deleted. You know, we have had over 11000 pageviews? Don't waste your time unnecessarily. The google test is just an initial test that new page patrol use to easily verify notability. You need external reliable sources that others can easily consult to verify your claim of notability. -- role^player 00:34, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

No tool, just become notable. Wait until other independent reliable people or organisations have critically reviewed it (blogs written by your friends don't count, neither do facebook, myspace or bebo). Wait for news articles about it, or reviews by leading game sites.

If there really was a tool that could produce that kind of stuff, don't you think that everything would be notable enough for a Wikipedia article? I'm afraid in this instance you'll just have to accept for the moment that it just isn't notable. -- role^player 00:47, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Is there any particular reason the original prod could not have been left to run its course? Cancelling the prod and taking it to afd only serves to extend the life of a bad article by a few days, as far as I can see. -- role^player 14:20, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

It is more likely that the article would be deleted sooner at AfD than through the prod. With the prod, it couldn't be deleted before 1/28. At Afd, it could be deleted almost immediately. Hoax articles tend to get deleted within a day at AfD. -- Mufka ^(u) ^(t) ^(c) 16:35, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for sending me your message! I erased the headline "Infamy" in the "List of Croats" by purpose, not by mistake. I would ask you to allow me to erase it again or ask you to be so kind to do it for me (which I would prefer). The reason why I did it is quite clear. I made a comparison with other Wikipedia sides from other countries concerning their lists of famous people and no one had such a list. I don't think it's appropriate to put such a subdivision in such a list, especially when it's transparent that such an input was done only to defame a country.

Fictional perhaps, but each of the players are real, Footstar is a game where you train one player and play on teams together. Theres a small but dedicated community in footstar. Given time this could turn into a good series of pages. Munster currently have about 25 players, and there are around 150 Irish players, Ireland being one of the smaller countries with only 9 teams at the moment. It's just not notable, which is kind of the point. There is no possibility that a fictional team in a fictional universe in a computer game can ever be notable, whether it's made up of real people or not. You can make a note of it in the AFD - if the band's article is deleted, the albums are elidgible for deletion under A9, but not while the band has an article. Template:Aylesbury

I think there's possibly room for both. I got the inspiration after seeing Template:Oxford, and it was basically because there were a large number of articles for suburbs of Aylesbury, that I felt there was room for a template.
