Hello, Robbo128, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Hello Robbo. I'm sorry that I had to delete these two pages and the pictures, since they were copyright violations. Feel free to redo the articles in your own words. Unfortuantely nothing can be done about the pictures? Blnguyen (bananabucket) 07:25, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Bernadette Young, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Bduke 00:48, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quite unrelated to the above, I also speedied this article. I was going to prod it until I saw the above comment.
Could you please do something to assert notability for Bernadette, if you are going to remove prod tags? Saying what she does for a living isn't enough. As far as radio presenters go, Perth is a small market - what makes her notable as a radio presenter?
I am reinstating the prod tag, please don't remove it unless you are also improving the article and incorporating reference independent of Bernadette and the ABC (her employers' website information is going to be pretty much press-releases promoting their personalities).Garrie 11:22, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PS - please use edit summaries, especially when removing tags such as prods, unreferenced, notability etc. When you remove a prod tag, it would be a good idea to explain why the prod tag is not justified on the talk page, otherwise the editor who prods the article will probably take it immediately to AfD.Garrie 11:26, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Gorgi Quill, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.australiaday.vic.gov.au/events_ambassadors_details.asp?view=389. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Robbo128! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Majella Wiemers - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 06:11, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Gorgi Coghlan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 03:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Mix 101.1. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Also Wikipedia is not a radio guide. Bidgee (talk) 12:31, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April 2010[edit]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to 3MP. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 04:32, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to 3AW. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Bidgee (talk) 06:04, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changing Logos[edit]

Logos have historical value. If you are going to change the logo in the infobox you should add the old logo to the main text of the article. Reubot (talk) 08:59, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ABCNewsPresenters[edit]

I'm interested to know why an alphabetical list in the template {{ABCNewsPresenters}} is not desirable. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 11:42, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was just putting it in order of the main weeknight presenters - didn't realise it was alphabetical.
Don't you think the template would be easier to navigate for the average reader if its entries were arranged alphabetcally? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 09:38, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Use of names[edit]

Please be aware that it is Wikipedia policy to refer to the subject of an article by their family name or surname, not a given name. Thanks, WWGB 13:55, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Gorgi Coghlan for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Gorgi Coghlan is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gorgi Coghlan until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. —James (TalkContribs)11:04am 01:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Matt Tinney has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks the necessary coverage in reliable sources to meet WP:BIO

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I noticed you are not providing edit summaries. Please make sure you provide an edit summary for each and every contribution you make. It's not too much to ask. You also recently changed prose to list on the 2UE article which is not good. Please update the information and retain prose. - 07:06, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Alicia Gorey[edit]

I disagree with some of your edits on Alicia Gorey, and we have reverted each others edits (either directly or indirectly) several times regarding capitalisation of "news presenter" in the infobox. WP:EDITWARRING is considered bad practice, so could you please discuss the matter(s) in the specific sections of Talk:Alicia Gorey. Thank-you, Mitch Ames (talk) 02:39, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In Suzie Wilks, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Victoria (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Please use edit summaries[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Gorey --> Loxley, changes referring to her before she was married[edit]

I notice that you're changing mentions of Alicia Gory to Alicia Loxley, now that she has changed her name. But she was married in January 2012, so I think that references to her before she was married should remain as Alicia Gorey (a redirect) because that's who she was at that time. This is especially the case where all references in an article are to her before marriage, such as this one. Knight was preceeded by Gorey (as she was at the time), not by Loxley. Mitch Ames (talk) 12:42, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission Lisa Andrews[edit]

Hello Robbo128. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Lisa Andrews.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Lisa Andrews}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 18:59, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Edwina Bartholemew has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 03:13, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Edwina Bartholemew requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.profiletalent.com.au/edwina-bartholomew.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 03:19, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Opting in to VisualEditor[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 100 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:20, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summary - how to set up an automatic reminder[edit]

Information icon Hello, your WP edits are most helpful but you appear never to include an edit summary. Providing one before saving your changes to an article allows people to fully appreciate the reason for your edit without having to search the revision history/interpret the edit. Information on this subject is available here.

To prevent accidentally leaving edit summaries blank, you can set up a permanent automatic reminder by selecting "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" on the Editing tab of your user preferences. Cheers. Melbourne3163 (talk) 03:43, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help please?[edit]

Hello, Is there any chance that you can leave edit summaries so other readers/fellow editors know why you have made changes, without having to search through the detail? For example, none of your last 36 edits to date, has an edit summary.

I find that adding an edit summary only adds about a minute to an editing task and it seems like common courtesy to me. As described in the 26 October 2013 message above, "Edit Summary - how to set up an automatic reminder" you can add a reminder prompt so you don't forget. It's all pretty easy and very helpful, I think. Cheers. Melbourne3163 (talk) 17:26, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit needs a reference[edit]

Hello, your 14 January 2014, edit of the Talitha Cummins article has been reversed for the moment. Such a significant change as the one you made really must have a supporting reference at the time of the edit. Maybe you can locate one and then make your change, with the reference included. Cheers. Unexplained/incorrect edits have had to be reversed[edit]

Hello, your 23 January 2014, edits of the Adam Boland article where you replaced correctly used surnames with first names have had to be reversed as they are against Wikipedia policy (refer link to the manual at the top of this page). In addition you gave no reason for removing the infobox so it has been reinstated and should remain there. Cheers. Melbourne3163 (talk) 04:29, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary[edit]

Hello. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors to quickly understand why you made a change, so please always fill in the edit summary field.

Note: To prevent accidentally leaving edit summaries blank, you can easily set up a permanent automatic reminder - just click on the Preferences tab at the top of this page, then click the Editing tab and tick the "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box. Proposed deletion of Smallzy's Surgery[edit]

The article Smallzy's Surgery has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable radio show. No evidence of awards, charting or in depth coverage in independent reliable sources. No independent reliable sources given.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Page move: SBS 2 to SBS Viceland[edit]

Hi. In regards to your page move of SBS 2 to SBS Viceland, allow me to explain why I have reverted it. The channel has been announced as rebranding on 15 November 2016, it is currently 13 November; if you look at the channel currently, it is still branded as "SBS 2". Pages should only be moved once the name change has occured, and this article is no different. Once the rebrand has occurred on 15 November 2016, the article may be moved to the appropriate name. However, until then, the article should stay under its current name. If you have any questions, please contact me. Regards. – Nick Mitchell 98 talk 00:25, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Avetik Chalabyan article up for deletion[edit]

Hi Robbo128! About 2 years ago I wrote a biography of a living person article [Chalabyan]. The article has been recently marked as up for deletion. Any advice on why this might be happening, how to address it or what to improve would really be appreciated. Obviously, your vote as an experienced editor on Wiki would really go a long way to make sure it's not deleted.

Thanks in advance for your attention to the matter.

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Morning Crew (radio) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Edit summaries[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! LibStar (talk) 10:25, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Seven News into BTQ. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also.
