Transfermarkt

[edit]

Since most of its content is user-generated, Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles, as you did with Vladimír Darida. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:28, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Footballer infobox updates

[edit]

Updating the statistics in the infobox on biographies of active footballers, like this edit you made to Salomon Kalou or this edit to Niklas Stark, please also update pcupdate or ntupdate parameters. Doing so avoids having the article's updated multiple times for the same matches. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:23, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in my last comment, since you've made this edit, so I will try explain this to you again. In the infobox on footballer articles, there is a line that reads: | pcupdate = . This line controls the text at the bottom of the box that for Salomon Kalou currently reads: * Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of 19:37, 28 September 2015 (UTC). Given that you updated the article today, this text is no longer correct. This is why you are required to put the current date in the pcupdate parameter, whenever you update the infobox. This is alos not just small thing. For example, Bj94 (talk · contribs) is currently blocked for six months for consistently failing to update the dates in infoboxes. If you have trouble understanding what I'm saying please ask questions rather than just ignoring issue, because doing so will eventually get you in trouble. If there is any way I can help please let me know by posting a reply here or on my talk page. Happy editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 18:26, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Hi

I see that you have made some good contributions to the Hertha BSC article. I would just like to give you a tip on how to provide correct references. Use RefToolbar.

Normally, my references are either news websites or general websites, therefore I use these two templates:

  • <ref>{{cite news |last= |first= |date= |title= |url= |language= |newspaper= |location= |publisher= |access-date= }}</ref>
  • <ref>{{cite web |url= |title= |last= |first= |date= |website= |location= |publisher= |language= |access-date= |quote=}}</ref>

I have them both written in a Word-document, which makes it easy for me to just copy them directly into an article. I also have already prepapred references for news websites and general websites that I use often (such as Bild or Leipziger Volkszeitung), so that I only have to add the name of the author, the date, the title, the link and the acess date.

I hope this is of help!

Kindest regards
