A tag has been placed on Captured Photography & Film, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. How do I respond to Articles for deletion notices from articles? Because people are writing deletion requests on pages that I have contributed to with very reliable sources. Inlcuding iTunes, Spotify, Globe and Mail, Major Dailies and more. One user has ravaged through and flagged all my pages. In response to: Nakon 03:53, 9 April 2015 (UTC) --RichardAlexander22 (talk) 04:07, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, You may respond to AFD discussions by visiting the discussion page that is linked at the top of the article. The discussion lasts for 7 days, so please don't feel rushed to contribute if you are still gathering information on the articles. For the Dave Mac article, the discussion may be found at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Dave_Mac. Please review these guidelines to the deletion discussion process. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Nakon 04:12, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response Nakon. Not sure if you have an opinion or not but I do feel that the following pages flagged for deletion notices have reliable sources and are incorrectly being target by a user practicing Wikipedia:Disruptive_editing:

Links include iTunes, Globe & Mail, Spotify, Amazon, verified Twitter accounts, Worldstar, etc. etc. very noteworthy sources. --RichardAlexander22 (talk) 04:35, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Let's be clear on something: NONE OF THOSE ARE CONSIDERED RELIABLE SOURCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONFERRING NOTABILITY. Self-published sources, blog posts, trivial mentions, directory listings, user reviews, tweets -- none of those count.
Please read Wikipedia:Golden rule to get an idea of what is required. ~Amatulić (talk) 20:45, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Amatulić Although books, papers and print are reliable sources, some of which have been source in the very articles being discussed, but these links still do provide some credibility in the online world regardless of the Wikipedia:Golden rule. Considering iTunes owns 63% of the music market[1] it should hold some merit in these, and any future Wikipedia articles.--RichardAlexander22 (talk) 20:57, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On Wikipedia, youtube, itunes, etc. provide no credibility at all. Any band can release a song to iTunes, it means nothing whatsoever for conferring notability on a subject. As an analogy, Wikipedia is the world's largest online resource and it almost always has a top spot in Google searches for almost any topic. Does that mean, because I contribute to Wikipedia, that I should be considered notable too? No, it doesn't. In the same fashion, a band's contribution to the iTunes catalog doesn't mean it merits a Wikipedia article.
If you want to form a consensus for changing the inclusion criteria for bands or musicians, the place to do it is on that talk page for WP:BAND.
I must ask: Your contribution history suggests that you have an association with the topics you have been writing about. Have you read the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest?
If you have any paid association with Fresh City or its members, or a record label (as an employee, contractor, consultant, manager, PR representative, promoter, concert venue, etc.), you need to disclose it publicly, preferably on your user page. This is a requirement of the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, which you agreed to abide by when you created an account here. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:20, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestions. No I do not, These are my first articles I wrote; so I use them to learn the process of building and linking articles..RichardAlexander22 (talk) 22:54, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Captured Photography & Film, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Riff Raff. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
