Welcome![edit]
Hello, Rhernandez and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Your articles on the directors of Sequoia Capital (Mark Kvamme, Doug Leone, Pierre Lamond, and Don Valentine) all looked to be direct copies of the relevant webpages on the Sequoia website. I have to advise you that these articles could infringe copyright law, even if the page does not explicitly claim copyright. The safest option is to write the article in your own words and provide a relevant external link. All four articles have been tagged for deletion but should you wish to contest this, please provide a comment on the relevant talkpage of the article and put a {{hangon}} template in the article mainpage. This gives you a chance to explain why you think the article should not be deleted.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --Green Giant 03:41, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Doug Leone[edit]
Hi there. I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Doug Leone, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Doug Leone. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Rhernandez. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Rhernandez~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
