August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Barek. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Street Crimes Unit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 15:57, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Truth vs. Verifiablity[edit]

Hi,

Sorry to see that your Wikipedia editing got off to a bit of a bumpy start. I just wanted to let you know that having someone with your knowledge and experience editing Wikipedia is very exciting, and we want to do everything we can to keep you on board.

Unfortunately, your initial efforts were reverted because they did not meet Wikipedia's requirements for verifiability. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia has to have strict rules as to what material can be included. Anything you add must be supported by a reliable source reference. If you insert language based on events you have seen or participated, it will be considered original research, which is not allowed.

I've posted an invitation to the Teahouse, above. I strongly encourage you to come to the Teahouse and ask any questions you might have. You will get straightforward, friendly answers that will help you improve articles. Again, thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Ebikeguy (talk) 16:22, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Street Crimes Unit. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:40, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
