Just to make it clear to anybody. Jonsson's rule, the first 3 steps:

The first player puts one of the 26 openings.
The other player has a right to swap.
The white player puts the 4th move anywhere on board and declares whether there will be 1, 2 or 3 fifth moves offered in the game.

Yamaguchi rule, the first 3 steps:

The first player puts one of the 26 openings and declares how many 5th moves will be offered in that game.
The next player has a right to swap.
The white player puts the 4th move anywhere on board.

The first step is different already and so is the third. More, the number of alternatives is limited for Jonsson (1-3) and is unlimited for Yamaguchi. It is incompetent to say that these rule are the same. More, the link you provided took the information from renju.net, not vice versa, and owner of that site has no exceptional rights on this information.Renju player (talk) 16:55, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
