December 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Noah Kastin. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Naagin (TV series), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Gold (2018 film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diff: [1] The strength of this encyclopedia is in its references. Your addition of Mouni Roy to the cast of Gold, while well-meaning, was not sourced, and thus, it is a target for deletion. There is an embedded note in the article that requests sources be added. You no doubt saw this when you made the addition. I have added the source for you. Please add references in the future. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:05, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Judwaa 2. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Diff: [2] In addition to being unsourced, it's not terribly helpful to change information and then leave an obsolete reference behind. Obviously an obsolete reference isn't going to do anything to help a reader verify the data, it'll just confuse them. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:35, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I've redirected Jhanvi Kapoor to the article on Sridevi. When we write about subjects at Wikipedia, we need to be sure we're only writing about people who are notable. Our notability criteria for actors can be found at WP:NACTOR, and our general notability guideline can be found at WP:GNG. For actors, we're only interested in people who have "had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." So a person who hasn't even debuted isn't even close to meeting that criterion, and thus, should not have an article. Also, notability is not inherited. Just being the offspring of famous people isn't enough to confer notability on the subject. If she is notable for other reasons, then you may consider our general notability guideline, but even in that case, you'd need to produce a very well-referenced article. The article as it was, was entirely unsourced. That's not acceptable for biographies of living people (or any article, really.) Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:45, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jhanvi Kapoor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, Rehmankhan7740. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Simmba, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

In this edit you removed sourced content without any valid explanation. This is indistinguishable from vandalism, which you've been blocked for before. In these edits[3][4] you make assertions about future events that you do not substantiate. This violates WP:CRYSTAL and you have previously been asked to not submit unsourced content. If you continue any of these behaviors after your block expires, the next block will be much longer. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:39, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
