GA Review
Hi! I just came upon your GA review of Katyusha rocket launcher, and had a few comments on the way you handled the review. First of all, when you complete a review, please remove the listing from the nominations page and if the article passes, as it did in this case, add it to the good articles listing page. I have taken the liberty of doing these two things for you for this article. Second, I feel that your passing of the article may have been slightly hasty. There are fairly significant referencing and MOS issues with this article. Although I am not going to take the article to GAR right now, I have placed a list of comments for further improvement on the talk page of the article for the main editors. You may want to take a look at this list in order to see what you should look for on future articles. Third, the GA review system is now using a separate page for reviewing articles that is then transcluded onto the main article talk page; you may want to review the guidelines for reviewing an article to learn about these changes.
Remember, GA reviewing is not a race, and the goal is not to get through a review as fast as possible. I wanted to let you know there may be something funky going on with your script (or whatever you used). For the edit you made to USS West Bridge (ID-2888) it did something really strange to some of the references. GA-hold on SS Mauna Loa
Thank you for taking the time to review SS Mauna Loa for consideration as a good article. I'm more than happy to work to improve the article, but am stumped as to what prose is lacking citations. Can you clarify that for me please? Also, could you let me know where the guideline that addresses redlinks is in Wikipedia:Good article criteria? - The style that I prefer does not clutter the lead with citations (unless there is a particularly compelling reason to do so). This is a style that is sanctioned at WP:LEADCITE and is in use in a great many featured articles.

I encourage engagement for the project as along as it is comaptible with RL. I don't encourage violating the project's rules. This is possibly a misunderstanding. You are no contact and you can't list yourself as such. Instead you have to ask a coordinator to sanction you as such. I can do that until 30 September. For this, I need a list of some of your contributions about the topics you want to be contact for. The more you can list and the better the quality, the more likely I will decide positive. Editing help
Redmark,
As a rookie, I am always cheered by other members' support in editing my first drafts. As I noted when I joined Wikipedia, I am a writer (novelist, creative nonfictionist, journalist) without the technical background to be a true editor. Maybe someday, if I apply myself...
At any rate, two names in the article should link to other articles, but still show red. Charles D. Booker and Adolf Ritter von Tutschek have articles written about them (by me). They link from the "mother page" List of World War I flying aces. Yet the Ulrich Neckel article doesn't link to them.
Could you please check this out? Perhaps changing the Booker entry to his full name of Charles Dawson Booker might be the solution.

I note that you seem to be a mentor in the Adopt-a-user mentor. I have been struggling with learning to reference citations and become a better editor. Thus far, I have been dependent on the editor who recruited me, Trevor Innes. However, rather than be a burden upon him, I am looking for a mentor. Based on your work on my Ulrich Neckel article, I would like to be your adoptee--that is, if you are adopting.
Truth be known, in my last months' writing frenzy, I left a wake of several (dozen) new articles needing referencing. I'd like to learn to clear up my own mess.

I have just revisited Ulrich Neckel. I have used the head paras of my articles as a precis/claim to notability. I see you have expanded it beyond that in Neckel's case, so that the reader re-reads header info below. I think it makes for a flabby bit of repetitious writing myself.
I may be new to Wikipedia, but I am an old hand at writing.
I have not carried through with the adoption because other kindly souls have thrown the needed info to me, bless their hearts.

It would be nice if you put notice of your GA review on the article's talk page (as you did not do with Boston campaign), or at least mention the article's name when you remove it from the GAN page. - I have to admit that this has surprised me, Redmark. I've been concerned about your GA Reviews before, but I was about to review the Boston Campaign myself. There was nothing there calling for an immediate fail - only a few relatively minor things that could be addressed whilst the article is On Hold - and to not even notify the nominating editor is rather rude. Try Googling 'PJ Phillips bass'. As a young violinist yourself I would have thought you would have maybe seen him with Vanessa-Mae? There are plenty of live YouTube posts and "The Alternative" live album (and video) etc.
This is my first post and I am thinking of posting other musicians too. I don't think someone who has toured the world with some of the biggest names in the music business can be called a 'fail' I hope, really hope, that you yourself make it as a musician if that's your choice, then maybe you will see how difficult the business is for 'session musicians'.
Are there any alternative sites I could go to instead. I am new to wikipedia and really didn't know how. Can you delete PJ's Profile on your own? Can I do that to other peoples postings? It's very strange.
