Connotations of "furry"

Per your recent comment, "furry" is not intended to have a sexual connotation, although about a quarter of furry work is sexual or sexually suggestive in nature. As for "mature", it depends on your definition of the word. Unlike much work involving anthropomorphic animals intended for "family" audiences, "furry" artwork is created for adults and often deals with concepts or topics that children may not be familiar with, just as they might not understand all of the jokes in a Monty Python sketch. Of course, these topics have genres of their own (adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.), and the definition of such a work as "furry" may depend on the relative proportions of its audience - are they adventure fans, or furry fans who also like adventure?

Stan Sakai - Usagi Yojimbo's author - was a guest of honour at the world's largest furry convention, Anthrocon, in 2004. His work was originally published in collections which are considered to be among the first definitively furry work, such as Critters. GreenReaper (talk) 15:54, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Problem with citations

I have attempted to nominate Law & Order: Criminal Intent (season 9) for deletion, as the few citations it has are from Spoiler TV, Twitter, and blogs by user 66.217.112.3, what isn't just WP:OR. I also think that perhaps 66.217.112.3 & Mgfan222 are the same person since they are doing the exact same thing on other L & O pages. The IP removed the tag without making any changes (against rules), I put it back (admittedly also against rules, but I didn't know it at the time), so I reported it to WP:RSN, hoping it might get looked at, since it can't be considered for deletion if the tag isn't up for 7 continuous days (as I read it anyway). Now user 66.217.112.3 seems to feel vindicated in adding even more uncited info since I was told I incorrectly replaced the tag. Redfarmer, I am trying hard to be a good editor, but it's hard to try to do the right thing when many others do not, and it's hard to get admins to take this issue seriously (Twitter, blogs, IMDB, etc citations) before it becomes so rampant it can never be reversed. Do you have any advice for me as to where I should go from here? Or should I just say heck with it and let Wikipedia flounder. You've always had good advice and good edits, Redfarmer - I hope you will have some good advice for me now. Or at least forward this to somebody who might care enough to help me if you are unable to (I know you are very busy). Thank you very much. TristaBella (talk) 05:29, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

I understand you are too busy to answer most days - I just wanted to thank you for your help. Trista 24.176.191.234 (talk) 00:27, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

The rest of the Law and Order:Criminal Intent (season 9) references

Thank you for your help in getting the redirect on the above. Now I must ask if there isn't anything that can be done about removing the references on the main episodes page since all of the 2010 episodes were taken from Twitter and non-NBC blogs? Thanks, Trista (Triste Tierra) 24.176.191.234 (talk) 19:15, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

By the way, I see user 66.217.112.3 is still putting in uncited material about Season 9 on the main episodes page, but is labeling the edits as other seasons - perhaps so fewer people might notice there are still no solid citations? T. 24.176.191.234 (talk) 19:56, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Samantha Copeland

I need you to put an article up for deletion, seems it was just a rumor spun out of hand. Samantha Copeland No reliable sources. Like LOCIs 9th season. --PaulaSVU (talk) 18:26, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
