That's a fluff section. Read it aloud and you'll see what i mean. If you want to keep it in there, though, go ahead.--Mike - Μολὼν λαβέ 21:41, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

Mike Yeah, sorry about that. This is one of the pages I been keeping a tight watch on with all the drama lately. We should surely review that section. Reb1981 (talk) 22:05, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (Darien, Georgia) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.exploregeorgia.org/listing/4270-st-andrews-episcopal-church. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 02:22, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Reb1981. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Swarm 03:58, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Christianity Barnstar
Dear Reb1981, I award you The Christianity Barnstar for all your hard work in WikiProject Christianity-related articles, especially your recent creation of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church (Darien, Georgia). Keep up the good work! Your efforts are making a difference here! With regards, AnupamTalk 00:04, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Anupam, Thank you! This is my first Barnstar! I have a huge interest in our history. Especially my local history. That is why I made the pages for St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church (Darien, Georgia) and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (Darien, Georgia). I use to attend St. Andrew's and it was there I was baptized as well. Reb1981 (talk) 00:12, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
I'm glad that the barnstar made you happy and look forward to seeing more contributions from you. It's also wonderful that you had the opportunity to receive that sacrament at such a special place! Cheers, AnupamTalk 00:37, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Butler Island Plantation

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Reb1981, thanks for creating Butler Island Plantation!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Interesting article, thanks. This phrase, "Major Pierce Butler, who was one of the founding fathers of the United States and supported of slavery." is a bit odd.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Mduvekot (talk) 20:04, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

References

Thank you for telling me what I already know. You can also feel free to add edits yourself. I love adding every source I use, but if I only use one source for info it's kind of hard to add another source Tripp155 (talk) 05:00, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Tripp155 I am just giving you advise. Just so you know an article requires at least 2 Reliable references to be viable. Also I would learn to use proper formats as well. Again just giving you advice. Reb1981 (talk) 05:36, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for the info. I will be adding other sources in the next day or so Tripp155 (talk) 06:05, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Tagging of 500 Miles High

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on 500 Miles High. I do not think that 500 Miles High fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because This is a sub-stub, but it does have some content. I request that you consider not re-tagging 500 Miles High for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk) 23:25, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

You're welcome

Re my edits to NS Norfolk, you're welcome. One of my brothers met his future wife there. Eagle4000 (talk) 01:56, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

Eagle4000, I spent a good amount of my early childhood there in the mid-80s. My dad was a member of VAW-125. I remember my dad driving me along the road where ships are and seeing the USS New Jersey looking right at me, lol. I have been working to improve that page. Reb1981 (talk) 02:02, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
What cinched it for me was the google scholar. If you think that needs greater scrutiny, you might want to AfD.Dlohcierekim (talk) 02:39, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

@Dlohcierekim: I will look into it further. Thanks for added the tags afterwards. Reb1981 (talk) 02:40, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

TAG

When I create a lake page, how do I type the tag for Lakes of New York? Thanks Tripp155 (talk) 03:18, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

@Tripp155: By tag you mean for the category? If so check [1]. Reb1981 (talk) 03:19, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

Yes I've been to the page before but it doesn't show how you type it when creating a page. Tripp155 (talk) 03:47, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

I need to know how to type it Tripp155 (talk) 03:48, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

@Tripp155: Strange it's not showing for me too when I use normal methods. I am reading Help:Category Reb1981 (talk) 03:50, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
@Tripp155: I got it to work just use edit source and see what I did. Reb1981 (talk) 03:57, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

VisualEditor
Did you know?

Did you know that you can review your changes visually?

Screenshot showing some changes to an article. Most changes are highlighted with text formatting.
When you are finished editing the page, type your edit summary and then choose "Review your changes".

In visual mode, you will see additions, removals, new links, and formatting highlighted. Other changes, such as changing the size of an image, are described in notes on the side.

Toggle button showing visual and wikitext options; visual option is selected.

Click the toggle button to switch between visual and wikitext diffs.

Screenshot showing the same changes, in the two-column wikitext diff display.

The wikitext diff is the same diff tool that is used in the wikitext editors and in the page history.

You can read and help translate the user guide, which has more information about how to use the visual editor.

Since the last newsletter, the VisualEditor Team has spent most of their time supporting the 2017 wikitext editor mode which is available inside the visual editor as a Beta Feature, and adding the new visual diff tool. Their workboard is available in Phabricator. You can find links to the work finished each week at mw:VisualEditor/Weekly triage meetings. Their current priorities are fixing bugs, supporting the 2017 wikitext editor as a beta feature, and improving the visual diff tool.

Recent changes

A new wikitext editing mode is available as a Beta Feature on desktop devices. The 2017 wikitext editor has the same toolbar as the visual editor and can use the citoid service and other modern tools. Go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeatures to enable the ⧼Visualeditor-preference-newwikitexteditor-label⧽.

A new visual diff tool is available in VisualEditor's visual mode. You can toggle between wikitext and visual diffs. More features will be added to this later. In the future, this tool may be integrated into other MediaWiki components. [2]

The team have added multi-column support for lists of footnotes. The <references /> block can automatically display long lists of references in columns on wide screens. This makes footnotes easier to read. You can request multi-column support for your wiki. [3]

Other changes:

  • You can now use your web browser's function to switch typing direction in the new wikitext mode. This is particularly helpful for RTL language users like Urdu or Hebrew who have to write JavaScript or CSS. You can use Command+Shift+X or Control+Shift+X to trigger this. [4]
  • The way to switch between the visual editing mode and the wikitext editing mode is now consistent. There is a drop-down menu that shows the two options. This is now the same in desktop and mobile web editing, and inside things that embed editing, such as Flow. [5]
  • The Categories item has been moved to the top of the Page options menu (from clicking on the "hamburger" icon) for quicker access. [6] There is also now a "Templates used on this page" feature there. [7]
  • You can now create <chem> tags (sometimes used as <ce>) for chemical formulas inside the visual editor. [8]
  • Tables can be set as collapsed or un-collapsed. [9]
  • The Special character menu now includes characters for Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics and angle quotation marks (‹› and ⟨⟩) . The team thanks the volunteer developer, Tpt. [10]
  • A bug caused some section edit conflicts to blank the rest of the page. This has been fixed. The team are sorry for the disruption. [11]
  • There is a new keyboard shortcut for citations: Control+Shift+K on a PC, or Command+Shift+K on a Mac. It is based on the keyboard shortcut for making links, which is Control+K on a PC or Command+K on a Mac. [12]

Future changes

  • The VisualEditor team is working with the Community Tech team on a syntax highlighting tool. It will highlight matching pairs of <ref> tags and other types of wikitext syntax. You will be able to turn it on and off. It will first become available in VisualEditor's built-in wikitext mode, maybe late in 2017. [13]
  • The kind of button used to Show preview, Show changes, and finish an edit will change in all WMF-supported wikitext editors. The new buttons will use OOjs UI. The buttons will be larger, brighter, and easier to read. The labels will remain the same. You can test the new button by editing a page and adding &ooui=1 to the end of the URL, like this: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Sandbox?action=edit&ooui=1 The old appearance will no longer be possible, even with local CSS changes. [14]
  • The outdated 2006 wikitext editor will be removed later this year. It is used by approximately 0.03% of active editors. See a list of editing tools on mediawiki.org if you are uncertain which one you use. [15]

If you aren't reading this in your preferred language, then please help us with translations! Subscribe to the Translators mailing list or contact us directly, so that we can notify you when the next issue is ready. Thank you! User:Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 19:19, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

Stub sorting

When new page patrolling, can you please stub sort the stubs you find yourself, whenever possible? Category:Stubs gets rather backlogged if no one is going through it on a regular basis, and it's best to not add to the problem if you can avoid doing so. Thanks. -- I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 01:32, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

@I dream of horses: I am more than happy to help where I can. I have never sorted stubs before, but I am willing to learn as with everything else, thanks. Reb1981 (talk) 02:49, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
WP:STUBSORT will be, at least, minimally helpful. So does doing a top-level stub template (not {{stub}}, but other top-level stubs), and navigating to a more appropriate stub template with "show preview", then using tabbed browsing and stub categories from there. -- I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 02:55, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Trying to make contact

It looks like User:Box is at least trying to make contact with you on Talk:Alien. Maybe ping him from there and he might answer. ManKnowsInfinity (talk) 18:24, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

@ManKnowsInfinity: Its an on going discussion. I reported him cause he seems to be doing the same thing on other pages. Reb1981 (talk) 18:28, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Alien: Covenant

Just to be fair, you're also over the 3RR limit on Alien: Covenant. I agree with your reverts, but this is almost certainly going to the Edit war noticeboard and there's no reason to risk you being blocked as well. Ravensfire (talk) 18:28, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

@Ravensfire: I did a rollback. Which I forgot to count. Thanks for heads up. Reb1981 (talk) 18:30, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
And they changed it again, off to AN3 ... Ravensfire (talk) 18:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Link to report - [16] Ravensfire (talk) 18:37, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for help. I'm on my mobile. It's hard to do all that. He is a new user too. Reb1981 (talk) 18:39, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I know. I left them a message under the 3RR warnings asking them to stop editing further and use the talk page, but it's just not going to happen. Similar behavior on Aztec Empire. After all, They clearly are right and thus their change is clearly justified. Ravensfire (talk) 18:41, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
I see he reverted yours now too. Reb1981 (talk) 18:46, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
Yeah. Just left them a long personal note too. At this point, easiest to just wait for AN3 to get resolved and then go back to consensus view. EDIT - and just blocked for edit-warring and reverted. Ravensfire (talk) 18:50, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
I reported him on AVI and he tried to report me and deleted mine. He is being blocked for 24 hrs at this time. Reb1981 (talk) 19:10, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

@Ravensfire: He is right back at it with he crusade. He is not blanking the page of it even being American. I warned him. Reb1981 (talk) 19:58, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

Jessup River Wilderness Area

Thank you for checking that. Will the page be re added? Thanks Tripp155 (talk) 01:44, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

@Tripp155: Yes, just add it again with the improvements. because you were at 16% possible infringement after you fixed it. I don't think the admin reviewed the change properly. Just remember though don't remove the speedy tags if you created the page. I should have done it now that I think about it, I am sorry. Reb1981 (talk) 01:49, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

It still hasn't been readded, could you tell me how to get it readded? Thanks Tripp155 (talk) 16:59, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

@Tripp155: All you have to do is recreated like you are making the page originally. Just make sure you have it where you editted out the copy right material. Reb1981 (talk) 19:49, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - Newsletter No.4

Hello Reb1981,

Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 816 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Stay up to date with recent new page developments and have your say, read THIS PAGE.

Dylan

and I have had discussions before. If we could harness his enthusiasm and teach him how to write for an encyclopedia, we could turn him to the light side.Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:01, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

@Dlohcierekim: I completely agree. He is not a bad editor. He just needs to learn the basics. We all had to do that when we started. There are many more tools now compared to when I started. At least he is trying and not being disruptive. Reb1981 (talk) 22:05, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
@Dlohcierekim: The page he made has been put up for ARC at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tanner_Fox I have added some info to page itself. Reb1981 (talk) 23:15, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
@Dlohcierekim: I messaged the user that started the AFD on Tanner Fox to see if he would consider closing the AFD after the recent updates. Reb1981 (talk) 22:53, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
Doubtful. The most RS is the BBC, and that was not in depth. Best to let the AfD run its course. If it survives, great. If not, at least we made the effort to improve it.Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:56, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
@Dlohcierekim: It's worth a try, though. Someone ask the same of me when I did a AfD before. I closed it after reviewing. I have seen other YouTubers with less coverage than I have seen compared to this kid. Reb1981 (talk) 23:08, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
LOL as I remember all my times at AfD, then sobbing hysterically. <shudder /> <gasp />. You never, never know. I've watched in dismay as clearly (to me) NN articles were kept and vice versa. Sometimes it seems quite random. Of old, I had a reputation as a deletionist. It takes a lot for me to agree to "keep". Lately, I've evoked the same dismay that I once felt in those certain that they were correct in arguing for deletion. You cannot always tell how it will go.Dlohcierekim (talk) 01:06, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
@Dlohcierekim: I come back after a weekend break. Then I come back and am insulting by an admin. I need a longer break. I think I am done with that article and AfD. Reb1981 (talk) 21:58, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Please do tell me how I've insulted you -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 18:48, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
Read what you wrote then you will see. Reb1981 (talk) 18:49, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
I may have been rather direct with you, but I haven't intentionally insulted you. I apologise if you feel insulted though, I don't like making people feel that way! If you really believe Tanner Fox is notable enough to have an article, don't back down and spend some time researching some more references - I'll be overjoyed if you prove me wrong, I don't like seeing things deleted, but I do get a little miffed when (what I believe to be) rubbish sticks around on Wikipedia -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 18:54, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
I appreciate the apology. The user that created the article is new and has a lot to learn both me and Dlohcierekim have crossed path with said user before. I always try to see the best in a new user and try to teach them the right way to do things, before it's too late. This was the first article that showed promise from him. Reb1981 (talk) 18:57, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
There's a fine line, which I'm sure Dlohcierekim will appreciate, between trying to encourage new users to improve and contribute and allowing bad articles to stick around. A new user having their article deleted/sent to AfD is really discouraging (it happened to me many times), so I think it would be fair to say no admin likes doing it. On the other hand, we need to make sure Wikipedia is filled with content of a certain quality. Perhaps this user would be better suited to draft articles for a bit? Again, I apologise for pouncing on you at the AfD -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 19:02, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Sweden EHS

Hi Reb1981, You accepted my Sweden EHS facts. Thank you for that. However they were subsequently removed. The talk is at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Electromagnetic_hypersensitivity#Sweden_EHS

If you would like to add any input it would be appreciated. I think the edit is factual based and there should be no reason that we can't mention Sweden recognized this condition. Some people seem to think this should not be mentioned because the condition is not real, which hardly makes sense. This is real fact that this entire country recognizes these people and provides help for them.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Otter22 (talkcontribs) 20:28, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

@PajaBG: I must has misread the sentence. When I first read it, the flow did not make sense. I have removed the tag. Reb1981 (talk) 20:54, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Good Sources for Understanding Military Operations?

Heya, very randomly came across your page (you reviewed some stub pages I did some preliminary work on). Completely unrelated to that, I was wondering if you had any good resources for learning about military operations? I've wanted to do more edits of military-related topics myself, but should probably develop a better basic understanding before making any overly-dramatic edits. By any chance could I pester you for some pointers on good places to start learning? Cheers! PvOberstein (talk) 03:28, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

@PvOberstein: That's a good question. I will be happy to assist you. Me personally I grew up in a military family. I read many books, lol. As far as learning about operations. Here is a good place for a quick reference. If you go to the bottom of my user page you will see articles I have worked on that may help you as well. I google a lot of my references. Is there a particular timeframe you are interested in? Reb1981 (talk) 03:36, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
@Reb1981: Thanks so much. I do try to read (working my through Eisenhower in War and Peace at the moment), but it always feels like I'm learning in fragments instead of systematically. Not much military service in my family, alas. I'm generally interested in post-WWII military history. If there are any go-to resources you know of I'd certainly be all-ears. VAW-11 page

The article contradicts itself and contains incorrect information. The contradiction is between the following two statements:

1. "To increase efficiency and combat readiness, on 20 April 1967, the squadron was redesignated as Carrier Airborne Early Warning Wing 11 while the various detachments were established as separate individual VAW squadrons.[2] "

2. "The squadron disestablished and redesignated VAW-111 and named "Grey Berets" in 1967. On 8 October 1967, while operating from USS Oriskany, a squadron E-1B #148132 crashed into a mountain near Danang killing all 5 passengers and crew.[3] The squadron was decommissioned in 1976. The squadron was briefly reestablished on 1 October 1986 until 30 April 1988[4]"

The first statement is correct, the second is not. On 20 April 1967 VAW-11 became Airborne Early Warning WING-11 and its detachments became VAW-111, VAW-112, VAW-113, VAW-114, VAW-115 and VAW-116. That is what the first statement says and that is correct. The second statement says that the squadron was "disestablished and redesignated VAW-111". That contradicts statement #1; also, it is not possible to disestablish a squadron and then redesignate it. If you read OPNAVINST 5030.4G which is the current iteration of OPNAVINST 5030.4E which was dated 19 March 1998 you will see that prior to the issuance of that instruction, squadrons could be either disestablished or they could be redesignated, it was not possible to do both. Once a squadron had been disestablished it ceased to exist. Redesignation was something that an existing squadron could undergo, not something that could happen to a squadron once it had been disestablished. According to the first (correct) statement; when VAW-11 became the WING, its former detachments were all established as separate squadrons (one of which was VAW-111). VAW-11 was not redesignated VAW-111 anymore that it was redesignated VAW-112, 113, 114, 115 or 116. If you review the opening section of the "List of inactive United States Navy Aircraft Squadrons" article it may help explain the Navy's system for establishment, redesignation and disestablishment (prior to OPNAVINST 5030.4E) and establishment, redesignation, deactivation and possible reactivation (subsequent to OPNAVINST 5030.4G). OPNAVINST 5030.4G can be found on the Naval History and Heritage Command web site at https://www.history.navy.mil/research/histories/naval-aviation-history/insignias/navy-aviation-insignia-instruction.html

I hope this helps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.121.184.55 (talk) 01:59, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Can you help me. A user is stating that three pages that I created be deleted for no reason. Can you please help me fix it or tell me if I even need to fix anything? Thanks! Tripp155 (talk) 22:54, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

I have been busy with real life. I will have a look. Reb1981 (talk) 01:56, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Mutant or Mutate

Hi, Reb1981. I would like to discuss about Deadpool's species. Indeed, Deadpool's origin history suggests that he is a mutate but many comics say otherwise, such as in "Wolverine Encyclopedia" issue 1, which states that his healing factor is a mutant trait. If you wish to prolong this debate, i still have many other sources to prove my argument.Therealdeal20 (talk) 22:37, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

Please discuss this on article not my page so there is an open discussion. Also please do not revert again it could be considered edit warring. Reb1981 (talk) 00:12, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

It would be interesting if you continued the debate further, unless if you agree with my arguments on the discussion article about Deadpool's species. Then, i would know if i am actually allowed to edit his species again.Therealdeal20 (talk) 22:45, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

it's not a debate it's a concensus. Other editors also have been reverting. I said what I have said. Reb1981 (talk) 05:47, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
Since you clearly show no interest in continuing this conversation, i would really like to know why the other editors are not giving me good reasons(or no reasons at all as a matter of fact) to keep changing my edits. Perhaps you may introduce me to them or show me their talk page, so i may invite them to the discussion at Deadpool's talk page(if you know any of them, that is).Therealdeal20 (talk) 00:26, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

"Fire Ant" article

Hi, I got a note that an addition I made wasn't verifiable. I had added the fact that RIFA, red imported fire ants, are found in North Carolina at present. You said that's not a verifiable fact, which folks living here would love to be true...but unfortunately they're all over the place. I spend too many hours treating RIFA mounds on my land every year, as does most every other property owner in these parts; I'm located pretty near the center of eastern NC. The little buggers have been here for decades. Anyway, for online verification please have a look at https://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/ent/notes/Urban/ifa.htm . That was the first hit I got when Googling "fire ants North Carolina". According to that page, from the joint NC Cooperative Extension Service / NC State University website, RIFA can be found in 71 of the 100 counties in the State.

Please don't be so quick to discount something when it's so easily verified.

Thanks, John Howard 67.237.81.215 (talk) 08:06, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

If you have a reliable source then include it with you addition. Any unsourced information can be reverted. Reb1981 (talk) 08:38, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Very well, but I don't understand why you need a source for NC and not for the other seven states listed. Seems kind of arbitrary. 67.237.81.215 (talk) 23:52, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Reb1981, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
  • Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.

Technology update:

  • Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
