Hi, I notice that some of your edits have been extremely constructive, such as your work at tattoo, BME and body piercing. I'm sure your efforts are very much appreciated, and hope you remain with the wikipedia community.
However, some of your edits seem have been inappropriate - for instance, your edits to Big Bang. Some of your edits have been "reverted" or removed. If you want to dispute this, you can add your comments to the article's talk page by clicking the 'discussion' link while viewing the page in question.
Also, the page William Rafti is likely to be eventually deleted as its content does not seem to be appropriate for an encyclopedia. However, you might want to add the information to your personal user page, here: User:Rafti Institute.
Bear in mind that material in your user page and talk pages can have practially any content (within reason) whereas material in the wikipedia namespace is expected to be of reasonably encyclopedic quality.
Don't get too worried about any of this, you're not in any trouble! It's just a friendly note. Again, welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you stay. Best wishes, FirstPrinciples 12:22, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
Universal Convective Pulse Theory S.pdf
[edit]Hello,
I've removed the links to your "Universal Convective Pulse Theory S.pdf" file that you inserted into two articles about cosmology.
If your Universal Convective Pulse Theory S becomes something that is relevant to the field of cosmology, then it would be an appropriate time to add the links to those Wikipedia articles. Until then, Wikipedia is not an appropriate venue to popularize theories that are unknown to anyone in the field. As you can imagine, if this were deemed appropriate, most Wikipedia articles about scientific topics would be filled with several thousand links to bizarre, unnoteworthy pet theories from everyone who has an opinion.

[edit]Hi. You uploaded Image:William Rafti Convective Sigmaphysics copy.jpg but no articles use it and it's unclear what article could use it. It has been listed for deletion so if you want it to be kept please comment on that page. Thanks. RedWolf 20:03, Feb 18, 2005 (UTC)
Image source
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Bear Flower Tattoo.jpg. Its copyright status is unclear, so it may have to be deleted. Please leave a note on the image page about the source of the image. Thank you. --Ellmist 05:06, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)
PDFs nominated for deletion
[edit]Hi William. I've nominated some of the PDFs you uploaded (Image:Body Modification Code of Ethics.pdf, Image:Required Legal Forms And Aftercare Sheets.pdf, Image:Body Piercing Aftercare and Healing.pdf, and Image:Piercing Class Difficulty and Pricing.pdf for deletion at WP:IFD. I think the information in these files is unencyclopedic; please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Furthermore, even if the information were encyclopedic, PDF would be the wrong format. Cheers, dbenbenn | talk 23:37, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
By the way, I notice you upload lots of photographs. When you upload a photo, please state where you got it exactly. If you took it yourself, just say so. Also, specify the copyright status of the image. If you took it yourself, just put {{GFDL}} on there; see also Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for more information. Finally, please avoid putting text onto the images. That simply makes more work for others, who have to crop or fiddle with the image to remove the text, as I did with Image:Bear Flower Tattoo.jpg by cropping off the bottom. dbenbenn | talk 00:39, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Copyright tags
[edit]I noticed that you uploaded several (excellent) images, but all without copyright tags and without stating where these images came from. Furthermore, most (or all ?) of these images carry the text : RAFTI , which has to be removed by others, like me - see: Category:Images for cleanup. Before removing the text, I want to be sure that these images fall within the copyright restrictions of Wikipedia. JoJan 18:37, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)
pic's tag and source

Image copyright problem with Image:Rafti3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rafti3.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"I agree that the accusation of plagarism is well founded, but I'm removing it from the above post anyway. You understand that I have proof that it is me that is biased, not BME. I have numerous letters that support my case, including letters confirming my insanity from the government, and in fact my work was copied from the BME encyclopedia- not the other way around. My work is what has been causing confusion in the body modification industry and Suffolk Couinty NY recently advised that I should be locked in the loony bin. My personal bias and delusions of grandeur are what made all this possible. I think you've been duped by people like me with malicious intent." -Author Did not Leave (his?) Name, but this supports my (William Rafti) proposition that the body modification industry tries to twist words around and put them into people's mouths (as first suggested to me by Kivaka). Mr. Rafti considers the person who posted the preceeding quote to be a vandal. In the past the body piercing section was repeatedly and cleverly vandalized to make Wikipedia a source of dangerous information, the person who did this knew what they were doing and placed the general public at risk (for example changing the words "Sodium Chloride" (salt) to Sodium Hydroxide (lye). Mr. Shannon Larratt of BME owes me my day in court- SUE ME!!!!!!!!!!!
Image Tagging for Image:Ruby_slippers_800.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ruby_slippers_800.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thanks for your message. I've now taken the opportunity to do a major cleanup of the images on Rainbow as the page was getting cluttered with various images. Neil Dodgson 14:40, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
This is blatant advertising.
Additionally, it seems to be used simply to slander Shannon Larratt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SpecialAgentRagnar (talk • contribs) 20:44, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Pink African Violet.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Pink African Violet.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 13:38, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Hypodermic needle bevels.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hypodermic needle bevels.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:04, 18 February 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:04, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

File:Ultrasonic cleaner copy.jpg missing description details
[edit]is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

Scene Makers - Image Upload
[edit]Hello, I was wondering if you can provide a little more information about an image you uploaded;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Chapbook.JPG
I have tried--with no success--to track down more information about this, but there appears to be absolutely no reference to it at all on the internet. This, as you can understand, is an insane proposition, and something I would like to fix. Could you assist me in perhaps adding additional information about it, or perhaps a complete copy given it appears to have an open license, on the image in question? Or contact the person who gave you rights to upload the image on behalf of the Wikipedia project at large, and ask him if he would be willing to perhaps create an article for the 'game' as it appears to be a great contemporary illustration of the use of chapbooks, and that alone (IMHO at least!) is a notable enough cause for article creation!
Thank you in advance, and I look forward to reading the rest of the chapbook at some point in the future, hopefully. It's been bothering me greatly, something not existing ANYWHERE on the internet in 2013 is just mind boggling! :P BaSH PR0MPT (talk) 13:08, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

[edit]- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:17, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
