File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Fernando Alonso Brazilian GP 3.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vladlen Manilov / 14:08, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Fernando Alonso in 201602.jpg

Hi, thank you for your edits to Wikipedia. However, please note that WP:WikiProject Formula One has a long-standing practice and consensus against listing practice classifications as we are not a results database and the classifications have no impact or effect on any meaningful results. An article you recently created, List of Formula One Grand Prix wins by Kimi Räikkönen, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 2022–23 UEFA Champions League

[edit]

Hello,

I noticed you manually reverted one of my edits to 2022–23 UEFA Champions League so I thought I would explain why I'd done it. It's normal practice across the European competition articles to use italic text to indicate that an infobox link is to an article about a season which is in the future. It has nothing to do with whether or not the link is a redirect or not and is consistent with the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League and 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League articles. I hope that makes sense but I would still like to hear your views on this. In the meantime, I will revert the page to the status quo from before this dispute.

Thanks,

Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 14:40, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
the fact that you used italics for the infobox link of the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League article and the explanation you gave me in your recent message really does make sense. I actually made a mistake and I forgot to revert the edit by myself, which led to causing you inconveniences.
Thanks for your message, Radioactive39 (talk) 17:29, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying phase and play-off round (Main Path), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Billy Burns. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed a recent edit you made does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Bold for victorious in final standings Grand Prix pages

It's unnecessary. Consistency used per seasons before. Island92 (talk) 20:45, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Island92: If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times: "we've not done this before" is not a convincing arguement and this kind of thinking goes directly against WP:WORKINPROGRESS. It is not unnecessary, because we don't discuss it in the article (in most cases). And, if you want consistency, it should be added. It used to the the standard until nobody could be bothered to do it anymore. See 2012 United States Grand Prix as an example. SSSB (talk) 09:03, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A request has been filed for the title of List of Formula One Grand Prix wins Max Verstappen requesting that it be added to the title blacklist. This has been done because the article appears to be a recreation, under a different title, of an article which is itself currently protected against recreation. Please note that titles used to circumvent the protection policy are often given the same level of protection as the original title the author is trying to circumvent, or are added to the title blacklist.

If you feel that the topic of the article meets our notability guidelines, please request a deletion review or use a request for unprotection instead.

Please note that repeated recreation of an article against a consensus to delete is considered disruptive and may get you blocked from editing. Thank you. Engr. Smitty Werben 18:22, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2023 Sakhir Formula 2 round moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 2023 Sakhir Formula 2 round, is not suitable as written to remain published. Information icon Hi Radioactive39! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. General advice on AFC submissions

[edit]

Please pay some basic attention before submitting a draft at Articles for Creation for review. In general, submitting a draft is the very LAST action you should do in the process. You do not submit the draft as one of the very first actions only to start building the actual content while waiting. A draft like the Formula 2 one you submitted has no chance of being accepted in that state and only serves to overload the AFC review backlog that already exists. Submitting such drafts that lack every basic requirement can be considered disruptive.Tvx1 18:34, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2023 Melbourne Formula 3 round, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Tvx1 was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Consensus is that sets of wins are not independently. This sort of subject does not pass WP:LISTN. Hence this was deleted multiple times before and even salted.

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! -- 82.13.47.210 (talk) 03:45, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
