Stop submitting blank/inadequate articles

[edit]

Please stop repeatedly submitting articles that have little or no content. They are all [{WP:V|unsourced]] and your repeated submissions without addressing the issues raised are beginning to look like disruptive editing. If you continue, this could lead to you being blocked from editing. The Mirror Cracked (talk) 01:33, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Mirror Cracked, thank you for your messages here. This is a student in our classroom programs. I have emailed them asking them to stop resubmitting the same article. I've also encouraged them to retake some of our trainings on drafting in sandbox and how to add images to existing articles. I have additionally removed the AfC templates from their sandbox to hopefully prevent resubmission at AfC.
We do not encourage student editors to go through AfC and I'm unsure of the thought process that led them there. Please feel free to ping me if you come across any more issues with this editor. I have watchlisted their sandbox and the draft article, and will continue to keep this talk page on my watchlist. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:57, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Elysia (Wiki Ed): I appreciate the context and the help! The Mirror Cracked (talk) 19:40, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Putting contributions in your own words

[edit]

Hi, I saw in your edit to Twist tie that you copied and pasted a sentence from a new story into the Wikipedia article. For copyright reasons, this is not allowed, and your edit has been removed. When adding content to Wikipedia, you almost always have to phrase things in your own words, even if you are citing where the information comes from. Please make sure to use your own words in the future. For more information, view our training on plagiarism and copyright violation. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:14, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
