AfD nomination of Educational Inequality

[edit]

I have nominated Educational Inequality, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Educational Inequality. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Writing a good article

[edit]

This is not definitive, and I wrote it for another user, so the article references are specific to them, but read User talk:Minervauk#One more try for a reasonable guide to what to do in order to do it well. Other people will have different advice, of that I am certain. Do not be discouraged. I think every experienced editor ran into issues with their first article. What I think has happened is that you are a researcher, professional or amateur, who can do research well. The problem is that Wikipedia does not need nor want research. It records encyclopaedic facts, referenced in the way you have referenced your research. But its role is to document without comment, whereas research documents, comments and concludes. It's quite a leap from being a researcher of any calibre to being an editor and contributor to an encyclopaedia. It takes determination if the leap is to be made successfully.
I'll help you if I can. I think the quality of the "paper" you have written shows that you will be a very good WP contributor once you have made the leap. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 00:31, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
