Reckless Abandon suggestions[edit]

Greetings, saw your Teahouse request, and had a recommendation for Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Reckless Abandon.

Looking at Google, there are tons of hits for this horse in major British newspapers like The Telegraph, etc. Since many reviewers will not be familiar with the racing-specific journals, it'd really strengthen your case if you could add just a couple footnotes to a few of the major papers to prove "mainstream" journalistic interest outside of solely the racing enthusiasts. It certainly couldn't hurt in any case, and if for some reason someone declines your article adding such mainstream coverage would make it a pretty easy re-submission. Just a thought. Great work! Now that you have the hang of it I hope you'll stick around! There's also a WP:WikiProject Horse racing if you'd like to team up with other enthusiasts (check their Talk page, the tab at the top of their mainpage, to discuss). The only improvements you should still make on the article: add WP:Categories (see similar racing horse articles to get an idea of what applies), and for your citations, rather than just say "Telegraph article about race" and such, give the proper article title, like "Reckless abandon still a winner. Daily Telegraph, 25 June 2011", etc. That way it makes it clear that not only do you have strong sources, but those sources are explicitly discussing RA vice just mentioning him in passing. Well done, and hope you've enjoyed this "apprenticeship" process! MatthewVanitas (talk) 22:29, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
