Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! I see that you've been making substantial changes to the population figures (and sometimes the classifications) in the infoboxes of quite a few articles, but I don't see any sources being provided or any explanation given in edit summaries. Where are you getting these figures from? If you don't give any sources when making these changes, it's very likely that someone will come along and undo them all. – Uanfala (talk) 18:30, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm getting them from the joshia project and from what percentage of the population the given ethnic group makes up. For instance the Ovimbundu make 37% of angola which is 9 million. Many of the sources are outdated(from the 70s,80s,90s,2009,etc). It also makes sense that the number of native speakers would be the same as the total population. The Joshua Project is not a reliable source for ethnic populations (see for example the discussions from 2010 and 2014). But even if its figures were reliable, they are for ethnic population, not the number of speakers of the language, and these two don't normally coincide (see for example Central Alaskan Yup'ik or Balochi). If the most recent reliable estimates are from the 1970s, so be it (and we can't ourselves extrapolate from these older figures either). – Uanfala (talk) 01:21, 6 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fang are not Nilotes and dont come from east africa. they have nothing in common with Nilotes. Nilotes are pastorialists and fang are Bantu sedentary farmers. The Hausa live all the way in Northern nigeria and Niger how could they have ever met the fang? Bantus never inhabited northern nigeria or Chad.
