Creation of Yugoslavia

Answer and Question

No, no - you misunderstood. +382 replaced +381 on 1st October, so +381 was still valid back then in September 30.

Could you pleas find out how many seats were allocated in Milo's coalition in 2002? I have very huge difficulties, practically an equal number of my sources says it was 30 and the same 31. Constitution

It's a great day for Montenegro. I have sent greets to my cousins - and I think I should send over one to you too. :)

However I still point out that we shouldn't be all too happy - Serbs and pro-Serbs in general, as well as most ethnic Albanians, don't like it - which means that probably practically 40% of the Montenegrin population opposes this constitution.

Regarding the language - it's now a giant leap that it is official and it is in a far better position, but keep on mind that it's just a political act - Laws on Education and others still have to be enacted. And I stand by my claim that it should wait before standardization, which will obviously follow right now (several weeks perhaps?). --PaxEquilibrium 22:05, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

The final version that has been adopted has been published with the newspapers, so you'll have to buy it if you can find a way. :)

I should incline that I do not approve just simply Montenegrin as the official language - PzP's and to an extent SDP's proposal of making both official or even converting them into one (SerboMontenegrin) seemed a good solution - because that one would be only opposed by Serbian hard-core nationalists, religious and extreme conservatives - this version is going to be opposed by the majority of pro-Serbs, even the Civic and Democratic SNP... sigh. --PaxEquilibrium 21:27, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Sako and Dado Polumenta

They are both Ethnic Montenegrins of Muslim faith from Bijelo Polje, notice how their names are not even Muslim, but Montenegrin. If you have any proof disproving this please let me know.

Novak Adzic

I've just read the whole thing, I'm not sure if he was right about the whole thing... I mean, did you read it entirely yourself? Over 60% of his article is wrong. I think he actually doesn't know history at all ;) (for example he writes that Rascia took power over the Doclea with the help of the Byzantines - while Rascia invaded Doclea to push out the Byzantine power that was in Doclea, and not independent Rascia!). By the way, if you didn't know - Novak Adzic is primarily politician and then publisher - he's the controversial Spokesperson of the Socialdemocratic Party of Montenegro, and a huge personal fan and admirer of Milo Djukanovic. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 12:36, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I often watch him. For instance he was yesterday at the "Okvir". The three most controversial things about him are his excessively Christian religious zeal, for which he was characterized a "fanatic", like his fierce reaction that SDP should not sign the pre-constitution contract to remove the crosses from the flag and coat of arms as per the desire of Montenegro's politicians of Islamic confession. The Bosniacs today oppose this constitution, because SDP tricked them to vote by not signing the contract. He is also described to have an anti-Albanian sentiment, as he violently opposes that Albanians receive the 2 new municipalities from Podgorica, claiming that Ulcinj is "more than enough for them". His 3rd controversial thing is his well known and bizarre disrespect of retired persons - he considers them an obstacle (!) to Montenegro. When there are complains that pensioners can't live (and that is the truth, unless they insured wealth through illegal means) he constantly yells on press conferences that they are just "boring & complaining like spoiled children". As for other matters, the Serbs also claim he's Serbophobic (his political attitudes and historical brochures), and like sugar on top he's a (note:) self-declared nationalist. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:27, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: Klimenti

Origin of the Klimenti is, as with every other clan, controversial. However national & cultural heritage, as well as a source or two, claim that they are from Orthodox Serb (not from the protoMontenegrin Zetans [Zećani]) ancestors. However the clan was mostly albanized, and most members were, naturally, Albanians. As you know for quite a few clans of the age, switches and assimilation between Slavs and the Arbanass were a frequent occasion, hence members of two peoples in a single clan of same origin and cultural heritage! But yes, most Klimende are ethnic Albanians, and the Klimente consider themselves Montenegrins today, I know very little Serbs that can track their distant origin from the Climents. The problem is that quite a few users in Wikipedia claim every single Catholic from Bocca (convert directly or by origin or not) as Croats and, like if you recall the Bay of Kotor article, they claim Montenegro used genocide to get it, which is a bit too far-fetched. --PaxEquilibrium 10:22, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Could you please help me figure out what initials were the remaining political parties? I'm missing only a few. I suppose we'll never find out what SSP, GGSS and EPCG were, but SS and KCG seem notable enough. I'm guessing KCG is most probably "Komunisti Crne Gore". I need an image that shows changes from the 1910 KoM to the 1912, one depicting both before and after the First Balkan War, to be used at the Kingdom of Montenegro article. I see that it's a sort-of standard for all former countries. Do you think you know someone who can do that, because I'm not that skilled with Photoshop? yes, I know that one, but I ment in Wikipedia. For flags there are 2 groups of flag related articles: e.g. "flag of X" (general) and "list of X-ian flags" (which is for vexillology ). That is not case for CoA articles.Stefke (talk) 00:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Kosovar independence

Yep, heard before - however the US ambassador has publicly denied that there is any such agreement. And overall yeah, only Russia, Romania and Cyprus are explicitly opposed to Kosovo's independence, most of Europe (with a few neutral exceptions like Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Montenegro and Slovakia) is in favor of Kosovar independence. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 20:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi - a stub type which you created has been speedily deleted as a re-creation of previously deleted material. If you wish to create a stub template or category, please propose it prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. In the case of your creation, however, I should advise you that stub types for regions currently the subject of international dispute or currently seeking independence are very rarely allowed on Wikipedia, as they quickly become the subject of edit-warring - something which causes far more wide-reaching consequences for templates and categories than it does for individual articles. In the case of Kosovo, it has previously been decided by WP:WSS that any stubs dedicated to the area should wait until there is a definite outcome (independence or otherwise) to current political moves in the region. Given that the stub type seems to have been connected to a sopecific WikiProject, might I suggest that a talk page wikiproject specific banner might be a better solution, as it would allow you to rate all articles related to your wikiproject, and not just stub articles. {{WikiProject New Zealand}} is a good example of the type of template I'm talking about. Coat of Arms

Er, Prevalis, that's the Russian Imperial Coat of Arms (also used today for the Russian Federation).

It was only literally an hour ago too. I think it was because of some serious bias which had to be deleted so it wasnt seen in the editing history.
