The page News reporting has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Blocked[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public. You may instead email the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-en@wikimedia.org with your username and appeal.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hi, I think there has been a mistake here. My user page says you think User:JustStopOil is trash is me, a user I had never heard of until a few seconds ago. My guess is they're someone else on campus. Could they be allowed to edit my talk page to confirm they're not me? (@JustStopOil is trash: Confirm that, if you would?) Porguppy (talk) 20:01, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Technical evidence shows obvious good hand/bad hand behaviour and the behavioural evidence demostrates a pretty clear connection to the last batch of TotalTruthTeller24 socks I blocked.. Ponyobons mots 20:39, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Are you using a proxy or a VPN? --Yamla (talk) 20:03, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On second thoughts, no. This is a straight-forward WP:GOODHAND situation based on technical data. --Yamla (talk) 20:05, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not for Wikipedia, typically (any time I've accidentally left it on to edit it slows down the connection), but I do use one to watch European Disney+ during free period. It's not a WP:GOODHAND. Could you ask User:JustStopOil is trash on their talk page to confirm they're not me? Or at least label them a sock-master instead of me? Porguppy (talk) 20:09, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No. However, your unblock request will be reviewed by another administrator in time. --Yamla (talk) 20:10, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Can I still edit from my university IP, or would I need to wait for Admin 2? Porguppy (talk) 20:14, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are blocked. You are not permitted to edit unless and until this block is lifted. --Yamla (talk) 20:16, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. I'll wait. Porguppy (talk) 20:17, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Ponyo! --Yamla (talk) 21:11, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
