ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Thank you for your edits/ tips and advice[edit]

Hello,

Thank you for your recent edits to Renee Heath and your overall contributions to Wikipedia. I thought I'd give you some info on how to add better quality citations for your future editing, using WP:Bare URLs (e.g. http://abc.net.au/news-article-being-refernced/) isn't ideal as it provides much less information to the reader compared to a full citation. Here is an article with more information on how to add citations and here is a video on how to easily add citations to when editing.

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Neutrality, sourcing[edit]

Hi Ponyshine, thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia.

I'm a little concerned about some of them, particularly on political articles. For example, these edits to the Nicolle Flint article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nicolle_Flint&diff=1192524178&oldid=1152725986 introduce a section to speculate on Flint's future candidacy and synthesises two additional sources that don't mention her to include an observation about the trajectory of a political party. Another example is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=George_Brandis&diff=prev&oldid=1200354780 where you've included something very trivial where Brandis was caught calling members of the same political party mediocre. And the Peter Dutton edit making it abundantly clear it was a commercial decision. And the IPA edit changing Australian Government to Howard Government. I get it, I don't like the Liberals either, but you gotta keep it in check when building an encyclopedia. Cjhard (talk) 10:41, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
