If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Disney Revival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Disney_Revival. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nomination of Disney Revival for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Disney Revival is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Disney Revival until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Tchaliburton (talk) 00:28, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Angus Maclane.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Angus Maclane.jpg, which you've attributed to http://sfsketchfest.com/x/performers/angus-maclane/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 01:16, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

About your edit on Tangled

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Tangled, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.Forbidden User (talk) 09:22, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but unfortunately your recent edit at The Princess and the Frog has the same problem here as the similar edits made at other, recent Disney film articles. The source you provide appears to be a self-published blog, not necessarily by you but still not acceptable. Please do not add this to other articles until consensus forms around whether there is such a thing as the "Disney Revival". --McDoobAU93 16:13, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that he is talking about you. Please, really stop.Forbidden User (talk) 05:01, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Disney Revival"

[edit]

I'm trying to figure out how to say this politely, so I'm just going to say it ... please stop adding this "Disney Revival" nonsense to articles. The term is made up and appears to be based purely on your own interpretation. As has been noted in the Articles for Deletion debate on this, nobody can find reliable sourcing stating that this term has even been coined. Any further additions of this will be deemed non-constructive and handled accordingly. Please do not force us to take that route to protect the project and its articles. --McDoobAU93 14:40, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To add on, I have previously reverted a similar edit by you on the same basis that there is no reliable sources for this term. As the redirect in question is in RfD (citing WP:GNG too) and no reliable sources are available to prove that this term was coined by official Disney outlets, please do understand that we will have to revert all future similar edits to this one. Thank you. Lesmiserables95 (talk) 13:14, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Pixar Employee Angus MacLane.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Pixar1986, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
