Thanks for adding citations to Yosemite National Park, and removing material that is unsupported! It's a high-traffic featured article, so it's good for us to keep it nice and tidy! — hike395 (talk) 22:09, 10 September 2021 (UTC) |

Gurdjieff's Mother
[edit]I have added a response to the Gurdjieff talk page and would be grateful to receive your opinion. Londonlinks (talk) 15:30, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, User:Londonlinks. I've been out of town and off-the-grid, but I have now posted my "third opinion". I'm sorry in advance. I suspect you will be disappointed. You're a brilliant editor, and I'm grateful for your dedication. I do, however, stand by my conclusion. Pistongrinder (talk) 18:06, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello - I am not disappointed at all. I have added a link to the actual marriage record of Mr Kurch-Ogli referred to by Mr Beekman Taylor and also cited a number of other authors who have steadfastly confirmed that Gurdjieff's mother was Armenian. So I have left the amendment made by User:Demetrios1993 intact. People can make up their own mind as to whether the research of Mr Taylor has any value compared to the statements made by Gurdjieff's contemporaries. Londonlinks (talk) 22:43, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Excellent. Glad we reached consensus on this. I think neutrally stating the opinions of all the reliable sources is an excellent way to solve this problem. Demetrios1993, do you feel the recent edit by Londonlinks accurately portrays neutrality on the subject? Pistongrinder (talk) 04:49, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
