Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Pionalmusic, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Pional, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Irn (talk) 20:37, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Pional. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Irn (talk) 21:14, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw how you edited or created Pional, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Pionalmusic", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. --Drm310 (talk) 00:07, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Pional has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of satisfying the notability guidelines. None of the sources cited is substantial coverage in a reliable third-party source, and one of them does not, as far as i can see, even mention "Pional".

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Content removal

[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Pional, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. -- Irn (talk) 02:08, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pional. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Irn (talk) 17:17, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User page and editing from an IP address

[edit]

I've noticed that you appear to sometimes edit from an IP address, and I just wanted to make sure you are aware of Wikipedia's policy on using multiple accounts. Also, I see that you've copied a version of the article Pional to your user space; I invite you to please undo that, as it goes against Wikipedia's guideline on the use of user pages. Cheers, -- Irn (talk) 17:34, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.-- Irn (talk) 17:23, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Warning. Despite your clear conflict of interest, you are currently edit-warring at Pional. Worse, you are refusing to discuss your changes. Please promise to not edit the article but to suggest any changes to the article on its talk page. There are limited circumstances in which you can directly the article and still remain within policy, but you are not doing that. If you agree not to edit the article directly, please comment at ANEW. I am going to revert your latest edit. If you edit the article again and do not agree to the condition, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:10, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at Pional. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 23:12, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you.
