This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

The comment the reviewer left was:

All the sources apart from one are primary sources. Only the Hollywood Reporter source is not. The article needs independent reliable sources with a sustained focus upon Parkin, not just a passing mention of him. These will show that others consider what he has done to be notable.

This article is otherwise something I would be pleased to accept as he has won 2 awards and published a book with a notable publisher; and it is balanced and well written. You are welcome to leave a note on my talk page to tell me when you have added apropriate sources and I will look at it again.

His second book has not been published yet so should not be in the list of publications.
