RE: Your comments on Phil Hine[edit]

You could try to have the article deleted, but my experience here tells me you'd likely be unsuccessful. Generally speaking a subject's wishes to have/not have a Wikipedia article are disregarded in an deletion discussion. I will edit the article though based on your comments. We have a policy on biographies of living persons at Wikipedia and if you see something that is unsourced and untrue (or incorrectly sourced like attributing artist to you based on the work of Maria Strutz) I don't think it would be a problem for you to remove it from the article about you provided you explain why you are removing it on the Talk Page for the article. I'd do more editing to the article, but I have to admit I'd never heard of you before a week or so ago when an anonymous editor went on an occultist deletion rampage.

Could those accomplishments you spoke of be sourced by a book, magazine, etc? Offline sources are just as valid as online sources but it's all a matter of someone actually going out to get them, which unfortunately isn't always done.--Isotope23 13:42, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are two matters which are, to some degree, intertwined. In the mid-1980's, largely due to the influence of the late Rich Westood, I became involved in PaganLink Network - which did much (IMO) to reshape the UK pagan scene, in terms of both setting up local pagan gatherings (commonly referred to as "Moots") and contributed to the emerging discourse around paganism and political protest - in this respect PaganLink could be viewed as a precursor to more contemporary eco-pagan networks such as Dragon. As part of my involvement with PaganLink, I co-created (together with Rodney Orpheus (in 1988) a monthly pagan 'zine - Pagan News - which we produced on a monthly basis for about two years, after which it became more "occasional" (due to various constraints) eventually ceasing publication in 1992. Editing Pagan News led to me releasing the "Techniques of Modern Shamanism" trilogy of chapbooks between 1988-90 and my (brief) involvement with the production of Chaos International magazine. Pagan News won an award (from Atari ST User magazine) for being the "best" small press publication produced using an Atari ST.

Phil can you clarify the issue over a poster saying you reviewed Chumbleys material or Azoetia. There is a seriously insane edit battle over the Chumbley post. Any clarifiaction on this point about not reviewing Chumbleys work would greatly be appreciated on the Andrew Chumbley post. --Redblossom 15:52, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
