User page category[edit]

Hi there. I think the category you want on your page is Category:Wikipedians in Denmark, since as you discovered Category:Nation of origin user templates is for templates, not user pages. If it were me, I'd just go back to using {{User Denmark}} instead of having a bunch of substituted userboxes. Mike Dillon 13:45, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, I did not check what the category was prior to posting it. Funny thing is, I pasted the userbox from somewhere else, which means the error is generic. Thanks for the heads up, I will change to a more appropriate category, it will not be {{User Denmark}} since I do not live there, which is why my userboxes are substituted (or customized). --Philaweb 06:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The error only occurs when copying the raw text from a template, since otherwise the <includeonly> and <noinclude> sections work as intended. You can read about those tags at Help:Template#Noinclude and includeonly. Mike Dillon 14:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I see you have recently created a new stub type. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:22, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right and I noticed it to late. Thanks for the heads up, I will try and go the official way the next time. --Philaweb 06:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm puzzled - What you meant with "Major manual updates" section ? I presume that you wanted to make section for articles that are not new, but have recently been vastly expanded, making conciderable difference, if it's so, might I suggest to rename it to "Recent major updates". And/Or you could add discription to the section (as in request sections under To do)
P.S. About reference tags (in Freedom monument article) - It's O.K. At first I wanted to tell you that (and why) it's supposed to be there, but then decided you deleted it by accident. I'm sorry that I changed my mind - could have saved you time figuring that out by yourself ---- Xil/talk 23:35, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, that was actually what I meant. Am going to fix it. --Philaweb 06:23, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you added author of the book in further reading section. I don't have that book I just presume that it should be valuable to read for further information, so I can't check, but I just noticed that in one of the references other author is given. So were did you learn the authors name you've submited ? ---- Xil/talk 15:48, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First, I clicked on the ISBN reference link. Secondly, on the next page I clicked on the Find this book link to find more information at WorldCat free online catalog of the world's libraries. --Philaweb 16:13, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right, I managed to find something about the author. Acctualy I wanted to notify you that I left a message on Talk:Freedom Monument (Riga) regarding the statue of Peter -- Xil/talk 22:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
