ISM is a Boston, MA - based marketing agency serving the travel & lifestyle industry. It operates as a 'fully integrated agency' for it's specific area of expertise. Beginnings[edit]
The company was founded as a travel and leisure consultancy in 1984 under the name Irma S. Mann, Strategic Marketing, Inc. by Gary Leopold and Irma Mann. In 2004, Mr. Leopold bought Irma's share of the company. Now, ISM is an independent and privately owned firm, with 100% of the shares owned by the company’s President and CEO, Gary Leopold. The firm operates as a Sub S Corporation having been incorporated in Massachusetts in 1983.
Since it's beginning, ISM has worked with a number of travel and leisure businesses, including Sheraton Hotels, Sonesta Hotels, The Bahamas, Caesars Atlantic City, Omni Hotels and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Current Status[edit]
The firm currently has 53 employees, all based in it's office in on Boylston Street in Boston, MA. Capitalized billings for 2007 were approximately $58m.
ISM serves as the Agency Of Record (AOR) for the following companies: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Emirates Airlines in North America, Best Western in North America, American Express Travel in North America[1], MassPort and Barbados. The group also works on projects for Disney, Foxwoods Resort Casino, and Harley Davidson.
