I request you(as you are wiki-india project user with interest in india military) to please have a look at it n correct it with neutral referances. (Sushilkumarmishra(talk) 12:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC))

Oops, sorry
You are entirely correct, A.R. Rahman is indeed an Oscar winner; my research was sloppy. Please don't be offended (this is intended as friendly, good-natured humor) but I couldn't help chuckling about how many refs you added to back up your point. Since I willingly concede that you are correct, perhaps we might agree to reduce the number of refs on that sentence; they aren't reallyall necessary. Understand that I was not attempting to slight the gentlemen, thus I added the quote from Time magazine to highlight his importance and recognition. I've noticed your work on other sections of the article and look forward to cooperating with you to improve it. Thanks for your time, Doc Tropics02:24, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Can you help
In the "Historicity" section of the Tamil Sangams article we have a redlinked item, "Dravida Sangha". Since most readers, including myself, will have no idea what this is, I'm hoping that you might help provide a translation or explanation. In your opinion, is the term (or concept) important enough to merit an article, or should we just include a brief explanation in the current text? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Doc Tropics 15:37, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
hi ! i suppose this "Dravida Sangha" is a part of the Tamil Sangams , buddy since our lang is very old & these sangams too are it's very hard for me like layman to provide any infos , though i have some knowledge in these stuffs those wont be enough to support the entire article based on tht ....you may just leave tht red link or you may remove the link is upto u ....may be some one will come to fix tht ....this sangam age is many times older thn the age of the presant india .....i really feel sorry for being not able to assist you . so my suggestion would be just write a few words from these [1][2] ...i've no idea if they'll be of some help ...any way kep up ur good work ....good luck....--Doctor muthu's muthu wanna talk ?17:43, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your efforts DMM, but don't feel bad! I appreciate your comments and will take a little time to consider and look for more info. You are exactly right that one of the hardest parts of editing these articles is for laymen to find reliable references on such an ancient subject. Thanks again and happy editing, Doc Tropics 18:40, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

How to select a country or a state?
Tamil Eelam has never been a physical entity. LTTE terrorists carried out a campaign but many Sri Lankan Tamils, who aspire to have an Ealam were against LTTE (Read about LTTE and how they killed other Tamil leaders). So what LTTE had was NOT Ealam. LTTE is no longer operate as a tangible organization; alomost all of its recognized leadership is wiped out and it is an ilegal organization to exsist!
Coming bakc to Tamil Eelam, it has no currency, no population, no land area and no identity. Some LTTE sympathizers try to present LTTE flag as the flag of Ealam!!! This is agaisnt many peaceful Sri Lankan Tamils. Before supporting a terrorist movement please do some resarch. I will remove all the unsuported such irrelevant sections on the article. Please provide references to support them or leave them removed.

- Forgive me for butting in here, but I'm getting pissed off at Ranil, and feel I must say something. We all hold our personal views. We are all entitled to our personal views. But I'm going to have an administrator look into your edits if this continues. You are not editing with neutrality, Ranil, which is a key point of being able to edit Wikipedia. True, somecountries call the LTTE terrorists. But certainly not all, not even the majority. So don't youdare start beaking off about them being terrorists, and somehow assuming everyone will agree with your biased edits about Tamil Eelam because of it. I've tried being civil about this, but you've crossed the line. Start editing neutrally, or shut the hell up. mnmazur voicemail
yep buddy ! ranil is performing an edit dispute & is trying to keep ta article to his tone .....this wont last longer ....soon i too will start to edit ta article in a large scale & his edits will follow & an edit freez may follow soon .....all i want is ta map of ealam back .....though im not a person from ealam i wish tht the article get's ta right it deserves ...before the article was looking like a disputed land ( which in reality is cuz still a lot people could be seen stressing for a separate land ) but now it looks like a tamil history article ..... this is wht i dont like ..... while all other such territories reserve their right to present their views ealam is prevented frm doing ta same ....i wnt stay shut longer ...soon will bring ta menace down ....Doctor muthu's muthu wanna talk ?19:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Guys,
Sorry piss you off. Just tell me if you want to categorize a set of people with a subset, which gained a bad name, just because this usbset is shouting loud? I may sound bias because I pointed out this message. Please show me if I am wrong. I am always open to reasonable arguments and I hope everybody will appreciate sticking to wiki guidelines. Many LTTE propaganidsts have altered articles and they have no neutral sources to back up as they are the only ones you make certain claims. On the ther hand there are enough reliable sources to properly construct these articles. There are many good scholarly articles on Eelam, Tamil Eelam and Sri Lankan Tamils. Why someone wants to rely on LTTE biased articles? PLease answer this?
It is more 'civilized' to point out specifically what I am doing wrong than claiming ' I am pissed off'.

I thought I shoud ask you not to delete without discussing. I saw you had reverted dozens of reviosions done based on discusses without any explaination. Now you make false claims as if I am the one who is doing this. Please discuss before reverting edits made based on discussion.

Re: Hogenakkal Falls .
Thanks for the message. Yes, I did see some thing playing up. Pity that this issue is not solved yet and keeps springing up from time and again. I hardly check my watchlist these days. Although I'm indeed thinking of coming back since I have got my time more organised. Trying to workout a personal formula of stricking the balance between wikilife and the real one. Hi,
I dont really understand what exactly you mean by "did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted" .if Adding the name in kannada and hindi script is your problem ,then what you are doing is not constructive my friend.Come out of your narrow mindset. I know Kal means rock in tamil also , i am a tamilian too but hoge is not a tamil word. More people from karnataka visit Hogenakal falls than The people from tamil nadu. There is no harm in mentioning the name in kannada and hindi . Your attitude is a shame for someone hailing from the land of Thiruvalluvar. I hope you understand the point and let the names in kannada and hindi to appear in this wiki post. - Well as far as I can see, Naadapriya did not understand how the system works in Wikipedia. The person could have been trained into being a good editor rather than being blocked. After all, s/he didn't stop after being blocked. Messages from IPs keep hitting on wiki administrators still. In my opinion the user could have been left foradoption by a veteran editor who could have trained him/her well on how the system works. I noticed the issue still going on onan admin's talk page which is on my watchlist. Earlier it used to be from Texas, now it is from San Jose. In spite of all the differences we might have had with Naadapriya my ethos wouldn't alow me to be ad hominem. I still am tempted to go help the person but what stops me isthis. I'm not insane to go help a person just to get the same one to shout abuses at me. At least am not insane yet! :D Cheers Wiki San Roze †αLҝ 19:40, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

- well ...it means tht changing the articles location like this isnt warranted without providing enough references & not reaching a consensus in the talk page is considered as a true vandalism ....moreover on the article meaning issue the word "hoge" alone is a non Tamil word & hence the lang karnataka has been included there & kal is not so .....yep ...therzz no harm in including kannada & hindi for the article if they r made in their respective lang , & needs no such inclusion in wiki cuz its enough if the local lang translation is provided .....& since u have mentioned thiruvalluvar you may try this where the article has only local language translation ...& the same goes for all....
& kindly do understand tht wiki has a set of rules & infos cant be added claiming em to be of no harm .....--Doctor muthu's muthu wanna talk ?19:12, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
There's no point removing square brackets from the 'list of national languages of India. Better still, replace the text within the square brackets to "Languages with official status in India".

Madras legislative assembly election, 1952, Madras legislative assembly election, 1957 and Tamil Nadu state assembly election, 1967 are already done. you can look at these articles for how to do it. For example, you can work on Madras legislative assembly election, 1962 to begin with. When you are ready, pls let me know and I can assist you, if you need. --CarTick 13:40, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
