A tag has been placed on "edric zohar" requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of "Precision Trading Corp", and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.precisiontrading.com/index.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:10, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on "Precision Trading Corp", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to "Precision Trading Corp". Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Re your message: The article was deleted because you did not establish why he is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Being employed at M-Systems when they released the first flash drives does not infer notability. However, if he was integral to the development of the flash drive and you can provide references to that, then he may be notable enough for inclusion. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:35, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: By references, I mean have there been any articles or stories written about him? For example, online news sources, magazines, newspapers, etc. Anything that discusses he work at M-Systems or any other company may establish his notability. You might want to try using the Article Wizard to assist you in writing your first article or reading the help page at Wikipedia:Your first article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:45, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Using a reference that is not available online is fine. You can cite the magazine article as a reference to establish his notability. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:05, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Edric Zohar[edit]

Re your message: Yes, sometimes writing your first article can be rather difficult for a variety of reasons. The problem is that he seems to be hovering around the edges of the notability requirements for Wikipedia. What I recommend you do for now is to work on the article in your user space so that it won't be deleted. I restored the most recent version of the article and placed it at User:Paolo Fredick/Edric Zohar. Nobody should delete the article from your user space while you work on it. To fix up the article, what you need to do is work on the references. I see that you noted the article you told me about before, but the citation format needs some work so that it is formatted like a normal Wikipedia reference. See Wikipedia:Citing sources on how you should fix it. Are there any another sources that you know of? The more the better. My other suggestion is to focus on his professional work and remove all of the personal information like the entire third paragraph. It is his professional work that will establish his notability, not his personal life. Other suggestions that I have would be to read the help page on writing your first article as it gives a lot of good tips on how to write an article. Or you can find a similar biography on Wikipedia and fashion you article after that one. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:22, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
