Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:12, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

'Threads' tag

Hi, you placed an 'incomplete' tag on Threads but there is no rationale on the talk page. I feel the article is reasonably details, save the reception section which could do with expanding and has a small tag within its section. Also see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Threads/GA1 I do not feel this small issue warrants the incomplete tag so my opinion is it should be removed. Please share your thoughts. It's still in place for now. Rayman60 (talk) 13:42, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

Incomplete tag on Joseph Roy Metheny

I noticed you added an incomplete tag to Joseph Roy Metheny. Could you clarify what it means and why you placed it?--SamHolt6 (talk) 02:21, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Begotten

Hey Paleface, I'd like to contribute more, but I think what I had added at the time was pretty much the only thing I was really able to dig up! I could try it a bit more, but I'm not sure when i'd be near my university Library to go through their newspaper/online archives next to do some Begotten research. Your work you've accomplished on it is great so far! I really admire your effort you've put forward. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:29, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Thanks. I still need to find more sources for it's themes, and film's that have either been influenced by or been compared to it. I also have a bunch of sources that I need to somehow add that I've listed on the talk page of the draft (so that I remember them). Any help with these things would really mean a lot. I'm kind of dividing my time between here and working on developing my own creative horror Wikia site. Still need to develop the rules and regs though which is quite a hassle.--Paleface Jack (talk) 20:54, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris

Hi. You have just added an additional sources template to the top of the above article maybe 15 minutes ago? There are 59 separate, verifiable references on the article and many of them have been used multiple times. Can you give me an idea of what you'd like added? Either that, or remove it and place CN requests on paragraphs you would like to see greater reference insertions? I have a lot of material pertaining to this case and basically want to earn the removal of that banner without concerning another editor. Best regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 01:41, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

I have added all references requested and removed the tag atop the article. Hopefully this meets your approval. Chat anytime, friend. Key.--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:49, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Good. We might be able to shakes things up as the SK Task Force by mass expanding articles. Would you be willing to work with me on that?--Paleface Jack (talk) 00:08, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Sure. I consider true crime the topic I almost invariably devote time and attention to here. I have been mass expanding, referencing and populating true crime articles since October 2008. I'm in the finishing stages of one article at the moment, and awaiting an update from Paul Benjamin Austin regarding another which has been requested I devote time to. All the best.--Kieronoldham (talk) 00:44, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Let me know when you're ready.--Paleface Jack (talk) 00:46, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Do you still wish for me to join the SKTF, Paleface Jack? I'm enthusiastic, but do hold concerns. Primarily both what I assume is entrusted commitment as far as time is concerned, and the fact I do not devote attention exclusively to serial killers, but rather true crime generically. Regards, Kieron.--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:47, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

It doesn't mean that you focus exclusively on that task force I find.--Paleface Jack (talk) 22:50, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

I'd possibly need some guidance (unless I'm just entrusted to act solo with observation of course). For the most part, I've been largely a pariah of sorts on Wikipedia - esp. since around 2011 - which I can largely understand given topic mater I usually write about.--Kieronoldham (talk) 22:54, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
I tend to work more on things that I find. Joining a specific task force or wikiproject is more about showing what topic you like to focus on, if you focus on it frequently.--Paleface Jack (talk) 22:57, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
Well I find Wikipedia rewarding, and ultimately I do this for the benefit of others. I see this as an ongoing project. So maybe I should join, pending approval?--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:04, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Do what you feel is best.--Paleface Jack (talk) 23:06, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Will do, pending a formal invite. All the best pal. Thanks for the recognition you showed me. Kez.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:11, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

I noticed your edits on The Hills Have Eyes and see that you have a keen interest in horror, so I was wondering if you would be so kind as to help me get to the point where I can nominate the article for GA. Thanks for your edits!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 00:10, 21 September 2018 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS

Adding WikiProject Biography

Hello,

I have noticed you don't add the |living= or |listas= parameters to the {{WikiProject Biography}} banner. This only adds to the backlog in the category Category:Biography articles without listas parameter and adds to Category:Biography articles without living parameter. They are required for the template. If you want to make the banner placing easier, you can use Evad37's Rater tool, which makes it faster to create talk page's with WikiProject banners and allows you to autofill certain parameters (such as class and listas).

However, thanks for contributions. Happy editing, Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 09:04, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Orphaned non-free image File:Overlord, 2018 film poster.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Overlord, 2018 film poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:39, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

RE: Soultaker

I'm fine with some assistance with Soultaker. Would be interested to know about the other sources you have. Also I cannot actually find a copy of the Variety review so I cannot expand on what they said. GamerPro64 17:33, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Looking at the sources you provided I am unsure what they could be used for in the article. As well I already am using the Cinefantastique source in the article. GamerPro64 02:46, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

That's fine man. The sources I included were more for the reception section. I sort of had an idea of what we can add. We could add a short background on the main cast/crew (what they did before and after). If we can find it, some interviews with the cast or special effects supervisor would be nice although I wasn't able to find any at the moment. We'll just take what we can and go from there.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:08, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Corll article references

There are 228 separate references on the article. Some used multiple times. Can you please remove the tag from atop the header and add CN tags to where you feel they may be lacking? I don't want to add a number of additional references and remove it myself if you feel your concerns have been only partly rectified. I'll begin takling the issue within 24 hours max. Regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 01:07, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Already added the CN Tags when I added the Refimprove tag.--Paleface Jack (talk) 01:09, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Ah. I assumed the issue would be resolved like when I addressed your concerns on the Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris article. Regards,--Kieronoldham (talk) 01:12, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Sean Harris, BATA 2014.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Sean Harris, BATA 2014.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:32, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

4 years later

I've expanded the Reception section of Ghost_Rider:_Spirit_of_Vengeance and it is a little over 4 years since you tagged the section. Feel free to let me know what you think if you're still around. -- 109.76.132.204 (talk) 04:10, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

Good to see some progress on that article. I'm going to do a little more expansion on it and that section will be good to go. Thanks for letting em know.--Paleface Jack (talk) 17:19, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
