I am de grand grand son of Francisco Martin Melgar, and i have the bauthism certicate, Church of San Martin (Madrid) of Francisco martin melgar, this certificate show as this birth date, and i can confirm you the the Birth date was 31 of August of 1849, you can can find also this birth date in the book "20 años con Don Carlos" 1940. For the death date pls find newspaper "EPOCA" from 04 of March 1926.
