A tag has been placed on Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. I've put comments in edit summaries, I've put comments in-line, and now I'll put a comment on your talk page. Please don't change the caption to the image on Where's Lazlo. If you continue to change the caption, it turns the context of that particular image into nonsense. That is not how the campers appear, it's simply a reference to the movie "West Side Story", which is why the image is named "west-side-lazlo.jpg" and why the caption is texted "West Side Lazlo". If you continue to change it so that the image is nonsensical, why not just delete the entire image from the page and then tag the image itself for speedy delete? Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Super Mario Brothers Z, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Super Mario Brothers Z is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Super Mario Brothers Z, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. CSDWarnBot 21:45, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Super Mario Brothers Z, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Chunky Rice 17:32, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Manic the Hedgehog: The Series[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Manic the Hedgehog: The Series, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. ThisDude62 19:29, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Asteroid deflection strategies[edit]

Please cease your edits at asteroid deflection strategies. While I appreciate your attempt to improve the content on Wikipedia, the image in question is not a depiction of any particular impact event, and so saying as much is false (unless you plan on obtaining an affirmation of such from the artist who drew it). October 2007[edit]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Meerkat Manor. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Your recent edit was removed due to violation of WP:NPOV and your replacing valid information with less true statements. Silhouette (Destroy All Humans!), an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Silhouette (Destroy All Humans!) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Silhouette (Destroy All Humans!) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Silhouette (Destroy All Humans!) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Human Prey has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Neither "Human Prey" nor "I Was Prey" turns up anything other than directory listings on ProQuest. No results whatsoever on GNews or GBooks.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
