deleting missing credit[edit]

Hello, can you explain why you delete credit of Roger Waters? He is officially listed as a song creator on the Wall album 77.3.139.19 (talk) 16:29, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

He is credited as the co-songwriter for 4 different songs, but 3 of those songs "Comfortably Numb", "Run Like Hell" and "The Trial" didn't have any involvement of Roger with the creation of the music for those songs. David Gilmour wrote the music for Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell all alone and Bob Ezrin wrote the orchestral arrangement for The Trial.
If you want proofs for Comfortably Numb. There are three different demos for that song, go check the first demo, which is the original one, it's called "David Gilmour Original Comfortably Numb demo" and there you can find the chorus without lyrics, just scat. after the chorus, we have a small section that reminds us of "Hey You". That small section is the embryonic phase of what would become the verses. David Gilmour wrote it in the key of Em, and in that small section we can listen to Gilmour strumming Em, going to D, C, A, and finally going back to Em.
In the second demo, we find something already close to Comfortably Numb's released version, but with different lyrics for the verses sung by Gilmour, and the verses are in the key of Em. We have Em, D, C to B (That characteristic semitone drop inside the same bar), A, and finally going back to Em.
And finally, we have the last demo and the closest one to the released version. The lyrics for verses are still different, but finally, it is in the key of Bm(Which is the one used in the released version) and the chord progression goes Bm, A, G to F# (in the same bar), Em and finally going back to Bm. Gilmour said himself once that Roger Waters asked him to change the key of the verses from Em to Bm so they did, but the logical structure is the same as we had from the second demo: Bm (Tone) A (Tone) G (semitone) F# (Tone) Em and going back to the first note. We tend to believe Roger wrote the music for the verses because he sang it, but he just decided to change the key of it (with Gilmour), but the whole logical structure is built by David Gilmour. I hope I solved your misconception. O Ultra Master (talk) 15:02, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
we have a demo before Waters and demo after Waters. The demo after Waters is a composed song, he did verse melody, thus making the song. You cannot manipulate the edits with your wrong speculations. Official CD information says Roger is a songwriter together with Gilmour and you cannot object this 95.112.121.157 (talk) 18:44, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No he didn't, you are the one who's manipulating information, Roger Waters didn't work on the verses, he just changed the key, stop trying to change story, you don't even know what you are saying. In the CD and album sleeve you can see there's no specification about Waters writing the music for both Run Luke Hell and Comfortably Nunb, you have no music knowledge. I thought you were able to see the argument i had with 95.112.121.157 over Roger Waters' contribution for Comfortably Numb that happened above, so i could prove i am not him nor related to him. If you are not able to see the the full conversation I had with him, I am sorry I've threw you into this conversation for nothing. O Ultra Master (talk) 21:37, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, I'm not interested in that conversation, just what you do to Pink Floyd articles. - FlightTime (open channel) 21:39, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing, I just thought I would help to help with new templates and information i had by reading Pink Floyd's articles, like the information i tried to add to "High Hopes" (David Gilmour as the composer and Polly Samson sharing the duties of lyricist with David Gilmour), same goes to the information i tried to add into Alice in Chains songs, like Would and Man In The Box. I'm not trying to add fake news to any of those songs, including Comfortably Numb. O Ultra Master (talk) 21:48, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The best way is to open a discussion on each article talk page describing your concerns and talk to other editors and make a plan or may they don't want to address your concerns, that's how we do these things here. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 21:57, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks for the information O Ultra Master (talk) 22:02, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd song), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:00, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i changed the content for Wish You Were Here following the information we can find in sites related to music and such subject. I decided to create two different templates, one was "Composers" and the other was "lyricist", crediting David Gilmour and Roger Waters for composing the music for the song and Wanters being credited as the lyricist. The Wikipedia itself claims Waters and Gilmour made music together and Waters wrote the lyrics, so i thought i didn't had to present any source that would prove that information. June 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Graham Beards. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Dark Side of the Moon without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hello, I'm O Ultra Master. I removed the content from The Dark Side of The Moon because "Any Color You Like" is only credited to "Gilmour/Wright/Mason" on The Dark Side of The Moon credit sleeve. Roger Waters isn't credited as composer. The only Dark Side of The Moon track where the whole band is credited as composer is "Time". O Ultra Master (talk) 23:20, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
