Request for persuasion at MedCab close[edit]

You are listed by Roux as the designated contact for Roux behavior issues. I believe that I should not further interact with him at this point.

I think Roux means well, but at six months, he is just too inexperienced to be taking Mediation Cabal cases. Here Roux had previously entered a case with a heavy-handed delete of a unsigned editor's disputatious remarks, then gets into a long argument climaxing with the editor declaring he does not want Roux. Instead of departing, Roux posts four more times, pointlessly further antagonizing the editor.

In the SpM case, I declined Roux with "Decline; this mediator has too much baggage" (link to the long ANI case you moderated which involved him). That was about as little as I could say to show valid reason for declining a particular mediator. Roux immediately proved the wisdom of my decline by charging me with a PA that does not exist in the above sentence. Editors who don't understand basic WP:NPA policy have no business doing mediations.

I briefly and civilly educated him with policy quotes. He then wrote a reply that presumed things he could not know, and prejudiced disposition of the case to other venues. Finally he wrote a pejorative close comment blaming me by reference: "Closed due to untrue perceptions held by one participant about my ability to mediate a case." This is unacceptable.

Since he is the identified edit warrior with a recent Oct 8 block record and ANI Nov 5 current editing restrictions, as well as the antagonistic would-be mediator of the Woo case, and the would-be mediator of SpM with a confrontational misunderstanding of WP:NPA policy – whether he thinks he could properly mediate a case is thoroughly outweighed by the evidence that he currently cannot do so.

His final post and close comment are unacceptably prejudicial and unprofessional. I request that you persuade him to remove and replace them with a neutral close to our mutual satisfaction. If he wants to make a brief defense of his ANI baggage that doesn't involve claims, speculation, or innuendo about me, that may be a reasonable compromise. Milo 11:03, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Love monkey's post[edit]

Free ride baby. Lima turned right around and restorted the heading. Lima also restored a citiation request trying to undermine what is explicitly posted in the source. Nix if you look I posted a notice on Williams Connelly's talkpage. Because I suspected that this free ride would happen. LoveMonkey (talk) 13:53, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Which means you assumed bad faith. Regardless I'll take a look at the issue, but you are not winning yourself any points. You guys won't resolve the dispute if you guys can't get along. —— nixeagle 19:07, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block of 61.18.170.50[edit]

I notice this IP is blocked out of suspicion of being an open proxy/zombie. Can I get more details on this? I'm blocked from editing when logged in on occasion ... this is part of a pool of IPs which iCable (one of the larger Hong Kong ISPs) dynamically assigns to customers, so I'd imagine a number of editors in HK are affected by this.
